ok the bass in my max (non-bose) is very pathetic and annoying, and needs to be upgraded.

i don't care about the highs/mids right now, im more focused into getting some good bass in the car.

i was looking at JL 12W3-D4's and infinity perfect 12"

however i came upon the kicker solobaric L5 12" which seems to have a much higher rms power rating and is pretty cheap! i take it different companies and their numbers don't really match up with each other in terms of wattage..

now if i were to get either 1 or 2 of the above subs, what type of amp would i power them with? and should i get 2ohm or 4ohm subs?
i was considering the JBL 600.1 amp.

All of those would be good choices. The solo barics are real nice and get loud. I had two 10 inch L7's and they were sweet. The Jbl will be good, its stable to 1 ohm so it can take about anything you throw at it. I had one and now i've got the 1200.1 and i love them both. I don't know if that helped much, but at least i tried.

Dude.... out the subs you chose.. go with Kicker 12L5. Port your box... tune to 30Hz and let it rip anything else up. I think you are in Toronto... if oyu like next week you can have a listen to my 12L7 ina ported box powered by the same power as you have (not same amp.. same power)... and you will know what im talking about.

man im almost done exams...after this wednesday

ok i think im going to get 2 kicker solobaric L5's to go with a JBL 1200.1 amp

will these compliment eachother without having anything blow or die on me?

and should i get 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs?
