I`ve read throught almost every single post regarding the swap but left with a few questions.
Now I wonder if the chains (both outter and inners) can be re-use with the 3.0 spockets consider the part numbers are the same? The 3.0 already has 230000 miles on the odo and I am afraid that they might break?
The 3.5 came with the crank pully only. Can I re-use the belt tenisoner from the 3.0?
you should check the chain for cracks, and you are fine using the 3.0 belt tensioner make sure the bearing is good though, make sure it spin's freely. you will only be able to use ur 3.0 intake and cam accessories, also the timing chain, guides, sprockets, tensioner, and you will need cam adapters.

I understand that the sprocket is a must as the variable timing must be disabled, but I thought with the adapters I will be able to use the 3.5 cam?
I am not sure why but was looking up the part numbers at courtesyparts and notice the part number are the same between them including the guide, chain and tensioner which is why am guessing they are interchangeable
EDIT:
Found out chains are different I suppose both chain guides are different as well
You can use some of the 3.5 guides, don't quote me on this but I think the only one you can't use from the 3.5 is the main tensioners guide. Also, I really wouldn't be concerned with the chain, you can check for any problems like the FSM says but I highly doubt you will find any, you must use a NEW NISSAN main tensioner & guide though.

What part numbers? Courtesy only shows part codes, which are the same for each individual part, regardless of chassis, engine, or year.
An oil filter for a KA, a VQ, a QG, a VR, or a VK all have the same part code, 15208.
Same for a crank, 12200, or a set of rings, 12033.
If you want part numbers, parts lookup, etc, you need to use FAST or a site that does actual part numbers. Courtesy is useless for that purpose.

yes you will be able to use the 3.5 cams, you will just need to purchase cam adapters that will give you the knotch for the intake sprockets, and enough space for the exhaust cam, use everything that comes off your old 3.0 if nothing is defective...
