no. Its just a standalone that will work with the motor and the sensors it has. Most standalones work with a car based on a basic type of setup, if your car/motor falls in that category it can control it and work.

Why use oldschool technology? With a build like this, I would've went HKS Vpro EMS with Knock Amp.

what car did that rear suspension set up come from. OMG a 4th gen with no multi link... i think your gonna need a bunch of sub frame reinforcements to avoid your car turning into an expensive pretzel

just thought of something fun you could do when you first take it out. i say bring a buddy with a video camera. take it to random shops that have dynos and ask to get some runs. then when they mount it on the front wheels, ask um what the heck they are doin! lol

sorry, that was random, n im tired. but you should do it! priceless faces, n lots of cussing would commence i bet!

lmao that would be awesome, but it would work better with a Civic or something else thats known to be FWD because lots of n00bs actually think that Maxima are RWD, especially 2nd-4th gens (1st gens being RWD from the factory)

In my opinion, i think you should do what black wind said.. give your mommy back the keys to her car, go play on your little game console, and let us handle this.

If you of all people are the first one to pop up with vr38dett, your nuts. I mean, unless your gonna give him money for that engine, and the money to redo everything he has done so far, then go for it. besides. That engine is Massive. Have you seen the GTR's engine next to a Maxima's engine in person? No. i don't think so. I have had my car next to the GTR at our local nissan dealer, and the GTR's Engine Bay makes our maxima's engine look like a scrawny, hopeful little pile of aluminum and steel metal.

But to have a RB26 motor in a Maxima, thats Gold.

But seriously "Red line" MaxxKid has things under control.

BACK TO THE TOPIC
And can't wait to hear this beast running. and when you do, make a few runs by the cop station. (j.k.)

Good Luck with it bro

these swaps are nowhere near easy, and again as mentioned, V6 versus I6 is totally different. the easiest swaps for Maximas are 1st gens, because having I6 L series engines, the RB20DET can be put in basically straight, just a few minor mods needed. otherwise, Maxxkid is walking the talk that probably 30% of people of here have talked about, RB swapping and then when they find out about the sh1tload of stuff you need to do, they go from "i can do this in a weekend" to he11 no

Do you have fuel pressure? I'd check to see if you have spark, by cranking it over with a spark plug removed, but connected to a coil and grounded out. It could be your igniter.

If you have no spark and/or injector pulse, then, it's most likely the ECU is not getting a signal from the hall effect sensor on the front of the cam.
