Google?

http://www.google.com/search?client=...utf-8&oe=utf-8

Also check out the Sentra forums, there's a lot of good info just waiting for you to search for it.

i have about 6000 miles and over 60 track runs with pretty much the same set up.
no engine probs at all

i imagine you are getting impatient
they seem to take forever
but, then its suddenly done, and you will enjoy it for years to come

Yeah I don't mind waiting, the headwork is the main thing that takes the longest. That's a 3 week wait. And then the rest will be done within days of getting the heads back, the block will be done within a few days too.

I was thinking when you melted a plug, maybe if you get the nismo or 350z thermostat that won't happen again? ya it is close I still have to get the tuning done, but I think should be done soon.

I’m thinking of running the nismo 145* thermostat
And maybe a better radiatior

The real prob was too much timing advance for the heat [0ver 100* and humid]
Should have used unleaded race gas too

I switched to iridium plugs one heat range colder
and added some Amsoil octane booster
Looking for an e85 gas station here too

hard lessons
thankfully learned

can't wait to see ,and hear your beast
i think you will love it

its a different car, again. lol

Here's what the flowbench numbers of my head work is.

Stock - 188.8 @ .200"
281.2 @ .500"

Ported - 228.9 @ .200"
318.7 @ .500"

About a 37.5 CFM gain, which should be around 50hp on the top end and you can see there 40.1 CFM gain on the low. So if each CFM = around 1.4 HP you can see that the headwork alone will post around a 50hp increase

Premiere is very reputable, my friend is Nigel's cousin so he's hookin me up, the pictures kind of blurry anyways so it's hard to see the work but figured I'd throw it up there anyways. And Travis, no they didn't.

I haven't decided yet on which tuning but probably Haltech or Pro Efi. I'm still talking to tuners down here, Nigel isn't tuning the car. I just stopped by the machinist yesterday and checked out everything, they said it's all done and good to go, paid in full, now it's back to the shop and will up and running next week.

A buddy of mine is selling a Pro EFI for a z33 ,

Not sure if you heard of our standalone either
http://www.emeraldm3d.com/em_m3dk.html

We have a customer with a VQ S14 that is wired up to the Standalone as well.

I heard Roger at Japtrix is pretty good with the VQs

I would give my buddy Crispeed ,( if its a haltech) or Steven @ Wrighttouch

PM me if you need their #'s

As for the nigel thing, I guess its a 50/50 , I went with school with MTR Manic , He has never done me wrong but Ive heard other stories.

Again Im not bashing on anyone nor bias because I work at a shop.

your project is looking good, not sure if you know Aaron is doing a mini meet on the 29th next week in WPB.

I hope to have my car back to make it out there so maybe we will cross paths

I shopped Japtrix first to get pricing etc. and they were going to charge me a lot more for the work... I've seen many cars from Nigel, and Jeff guy who sells coil overs on the sentra forums (Majormods) has seen many builds from Nigel too. You sure you're thinking of the same Nigel? He was in New York before, I mean I've seen some sick builds out of his shop, RB26DET swaps into G35s and whatnot, my swap is really simple compared to what he has done. He's also the guy with the 1000hp 240SX RB26DET.

Larry who is the machinist for the build also knows Nigel and that he does good work also. As far as the tuning I've found leaning towards Pro Efi cause of the pricing I can get on it. Thanks for the offer though. Everyone involved with the build is either highly recommended or very reputable here locally. The person I had for the headwork was highly recommended based on Larry at South Florida Crank, who is also the machinist who is recommended by Japtrix, All Jap Cars, Nigel etc. as one of the best around.

As far as the Pro Efi, which model Pro Efi is he selling and how much? I'm going to use the Pro Efi with a different harness to wire it up, once I get the car back I'll be working on getting it wired to tune, so depending on the price I may be interested but I already am working with somebody giving me a good deal. Let me know thanks.

I snatched a few pictures of the heads before they are going in to be reassembled. Was the last change to show the work

Intake side shots

Exhaust side shots

And just the valves cleaned up here and resurfaced. Had no time to try and show the Serdi Angle cuts, and I'm not sure the camera would be able to pick it up if I did anyways.

They are made using factory blanks, as with all other JWT cams.

Looks like it's coming together well. Quick question though...why's the inner timing cover on before the heads?

Don't know he has his own way of doing things, I just saw a few other VQs in the shop the other day. To each his own.

Car is back, untuned, driveable just need an idle adjustment bad for the cams! Sounds deep though and nice. I'll post some pics and try to get a video. It's moving along very smoothly, motor feels like butter with the balancing. After the break in miles (which I'm not rushing since I'm full time working) I will be getting the tuning done in 3-4weeks ish. Can't wait to rip her wide open!
