Yes, the fsm has the automatic cluster covered, but not the 6sp. cluster. here is an off the head example. Lets say on the 02 AT cluster, M34 has 24 wire connections. Now lets choose pin # 56 & say it has red wire & its for, lets say "R"reverse. Now that same connection same pin# on 02 6sp. cluster you think would be empty because the 6sp. does'nt have a "R" on the cluster. Right. but it does have a wire connected, you just dont know what it goes too. SO my question: is there a way or how do you find out what each individule wire is for & where its supposed to be connected?

The FSM does have the 6-speed covered, it's the same diagram, it's just that there is no differences specific to the m/t and the specific differences for the a/t are done via internal wiring, meaning the clusters are different but the harness' are the same. If you look closely at the Schematic (120 of 480 on mine) You will notice that there is an optional splice that connects the A/T indicator to pin # 64 & # 30 on A/T vehicles only. It appears that all the wiring for the a/t indicator will be there on either vehicle. There are some minor differences where they go to though, for example on an '02 vehicle pin 15 on the cluster can run to pin 22, 18, or 19 of the abs unit depending upon a/t, m/t, or tcs.
But trust me, it's all there, the diagrams will have symbols <a> or <m> or <tcs>
Got it. its installed now. Thanks guys. So let me ask this. How can I find out what each wire on a connector is for? Like lets say M229. Is there anywhere in the fsm that shows where all the wires on M229 go & what they are for?

Not AFAIK, you'll have to run through all of the relevant EL sections and do it manually.
Depending on what a particular connector connects to you can go to the harness layout section in the EL portion of the FSM and look to see which component it is associated with. That makes finding the wiring diagram significantly easier.

On the 03 I35 there is a M229. that same connector on the 02 Maxima is M161. I was just using M229 as an example cause my swap came from a 03 I35. But im in the process of helping someone do a 6 spd swap. Thanks for the Help Nismo. Its good to see some old skool org members still know how to help instead of criticizing them.
