(00vi) What would you use to fill in LIManifold holes to port match?

Wondering...so i can tell a shop to do it and not get ripped off.

Also, how much will it cost for 4 new holes?

Get them welded and then tap them yourself.

What kind of shop did you guys have it done at? I know it's difficult to weld aluminum properly, so I'm curious.

It was a local place that did custom ornamental welding, like stair railing work, etc.

Since im using a 4th gen Lower Intake Manifold, it has 2 bolts sticking out on the far ends, how did you guys remove these?

Use some vice grips on the round cylinder part. They thread just like any other bolt. Just very tight.

Of course if for some reason you want to save them without damage, double-nut or a stud remover.

pmohr, I didnt damage mine, hardly at all, just a little scratches.

Shady, tell them to do it for $40 or you will go somewhere else.
