5th Gen TB or 4th Gen TB on 00VI swap?

i was wondering which TB most use on the 00VI swap.. if you use the 5th gen then where did you relocate the vacuum line that goes to the direct bottom of the 4th gen TB?

also if you used the 4th gen.. why did you do this??

I went with my 4th gen TB. Why... I honestly don't remember? Seems now like it may have cost me more $$ and hassle (two things i was trying to reduce). Oh wait I know - i have 3 4th gen TBs and I was thinking i'd run a stock one then send one out and have it bored later without downtime. Still havent done that yet.

Why? Because, it's a simpler design (and one that you know works with the 4th gen hoses and crap) AND because my manifold didn't come with a throttlebody and I could have my adapter plates done free, it was the cheaper route.

Need an adapter plate. I'm using PF. That's not really important but yeah.

I'm gonna use my 4th gen TB when I do my swap. I have a 5th gen TB but it has a broken tps and I don't want to mess around with swapping my 4th gen tps to the 5th gen TB and risk screwing it up. I also noticed you need to block off the bottom of the 5th gen TB and that would mean you have to bypass the coolant lines. I know people who have done this with the 4th gen TB's and had problems so I don't want to end up having any problems by bypassing them. I don't know if it matters or not when using the 5th gen TB but just to be on the safe side I will use the 4th gen TB.

I think 4th tps is the best decision with any tb right? I was told to use my 4th tps with the PF. I just need to find the link for how to set it.
