You would have to make sure the bolt pattern is the same and it will likely be engine dependent.

btw I too am on m6c

Thanks Kevlo, I sent you a PM, but looking again, your last post was in January of 2008, guess I should've looked before sending you a message.

So here's a question while I'm still waiting on the first, are all the 5-speed transmissions F50A's? Or are there some 5-speed MFA60s as well? If so, when did they switch over to the MFA60?

All of the FWD cable shift manual transmissions used in the 2002+ Altima, Sentra and Maxima were called "MFA60" by the manufacturer. http://www.aichikikai.co.jp/english/index.html

Nissan has their own names for them:
RS6F51A
RS6F51H
RS5F51A
etc.

Perhaps Mazda and Hyundai also have their own naming scheme.

I know that Ford/Mazda call the Transmission the A65M-R. I can't really seem to find my information on the Hyundai Transmission though.

Do the clutch housings between the 5 and 6 speed O2+ Maximas interchage?

Actually, there is no 5spd manual Maxima after 2001. But AFAIK, the anwser to your question is yes. Concerning the Altimas and Sentras, the clutches should be interchangeable.

They work, you might need more than 15 posts to be able to send them though.

BTW weird, I was just reading your thread on the tiburon site like a week ago.

Yeah - that could be it. Don't want to troll just to send a message, though... LOL!!

And that's ironic. I've been trying to find someone locally for quite a while now who could mod the pinion shaft for me (thus, why I was trying to reach SR20DEN, as it's really holding up my rebuild), but I think I've finally found a reliable lead on a guy. In fact, I just called Dave Burnette to check on availability and try to get the parts in hand.

On a total side note... are you affiliated with DeatschWerks, or just a fan?

One of my best buddies is the co-owner of deatschwerks.

What did you need done to the pinion? I did race transmissions for 3.5 years so I'm curious.
