VQ30 Oil Pump in VQ35

Does a VQ30 Oil pump fit into a VQ35 Engine? Before anyone says that a VQ35 pump should be used I am fully aware of that. However there is a High Flow Oil Pump for the VQ30 application.

That is why I am wondering if the VQ30 pump will fit without modification.

Also does the 350z use the same Oil Pump as a VQ35 for the maxima?

Thanks Guys.

JP

Yes it fits. 30 pump sucks. What is this high flow one you speak of. I would use a revup motor pump.

Kevlo911- Thanks for the answer, yes that was my orginal plan is to use the rev-up oil pump.

When I was going to build my VQ30 I came across the H.V. TOGA Oil pump. I wonder how the two compare (TOGA vs Rev-up) your thoughts?

Here is a link: http://www.importperformanceparts.ne...psnissan.html#

Also on a side note, do you happen to know if the Nismo Thermostat will work on our application?

I like it depending on the price.
I you have to plug some of the holes up on the 35 thermostat IIRC.

I have yet to price out the rev-up oil pump, however the 155.00 + shipping price tag for the Toga Oil pump does not seem all that bad. Even comes with a 2 year warranty.

Could the 350z guys use this pump?

P.S. So you think the Nismo VQ35 Thermostat will require me to plug some holes?

Anyone have a link for these rev up pumps? I didn't know there were this many options available. There is also the extremely expensive route of the Nismo pump. I've never heard of anyone on the .org using it though.

Revup pump is close to 180 IIRC. Ask them how high that Toga pump can go to.

OIL PUMP, 350Z, w/300HP Engine - 3.5L - $170.13.

From the Pinnacle Nissan site.

I bought one to use on an engine build and never got around to using it. It does fit in the VQ30 and looks like everything lines up OK.

Iam using a VQ35 oil pump in my VQ30 motor and it fit perfect. the 3,5 pump is thicker but it fits and the oil pressure is almost twice as much.

I just got done talking with a rep about the TOGA Oil pump and he could not really provided me or point me in the direction of actual flow numbers for the pump.

He did however tell me that they typicaly flow about 8-12% more then stock oil pumps. So with that said does anyone know how much a stock VQ30 Oil pump flows and how much a Rev-Up Oil pump flow?

From what I understand this pump should be capable of upwards to 800HP but I would like to compare flow numbers first.

I've been wondering that myself. I have one laying around my shop. Maybe I'll rip it apart and take pics. Does anyone have internal pics of the 35 pump or perhaps these aftermarkets to compare?
