00VI EGR Guide Tube Question

Im starting to order some things for my 00VI swap and I have a pretty simple question.

The electical line that goes from the EGR Guide tube on the IACV hanress down the 96 guide tube, what am I doing with that line ?? I know that the 00VI guide tube doesnt have an electrical connection on the top peice. Can I totally do away with that harness and connection

Im ordering a new EGR valve for the install. Figuring my 96 has 140K on it, it would be nice to get a new valve on there. Anything else I should order ??

If you are referring to the harness on the 00 EGR guide tube, you can swap it easily with the 96 harness.

No, I am talking about the wire that goes to the 96 guide tube and not on the 00 guide tube

I need help with this too. I just got my motor and I having trouble converting the 98 egr over to the 01 motor. I saw the 01 headers are plugged where the 98 has the tube going to the EGR unit. How do I connect the 98 EGR to 01 guide tube?

*edit* Found that I'm practically missing the whole EGR system on this new motor including a halve of the guide tube with no flange. Guess I need to order a new tube.

I just did the swap. The 00 egr tube has the same fitting on it for the (temp sensor?). I just swapped over the wire/sensor from my 96 egr tube to the new one, good to go. For the dek motor swap question, an 01 probably didnt have egr? so swap to the 4th gen rear exhaust manifold and use 00 egr tube. but probably the upper IM is blocked off too and i don't know if you can convert it. But i picked up a 00 upper IM (with egr opening) for about $100 off car-part...

OK that makes sense...I just dont remember seeing the fitting on the 00' Guide tube for the temp sensor. Is it near the top or bottom ?

Oh ok. I see it on the 5th gen guide tube. I ordered a new EGR valve from Nissan for the swap. That Temp sensor is like $95. Im just using the old one
