Bypass switch for ECU's?
Is it possible to have two seperate ECU's hooked up to the maxima. One modded (JWT, TS etc...) and one stock? I was going thru a stillen mag, and I was seeing that they have something similar for the sentras and the 300zx,were's the ecu is upgraded/modded, and they have a bypass switch, so you can change the setting from street racer at night, and sweet inoccent moms car during the day. now the reason I ask is because later this year I'm gonna go with the 3.5 swap, and it was recommended that you do headers, intake, etc... and also ECU upgrade because of the retard detenation or timing (whatever I'm not gonna get stuck trying to figure it out) but something in those terms.. Now of course I want a dope all motor max, hopefully hitting low 13's motor. But I would like to go the nitrous route, during some occasions to go into even lower numbers, but I would hate to have take out the modded ecu, and then put in a stock one. I would like to save time, and just swap instantly, with the flip of a switch. Bam! Is it possible to make a harness can do this, is it worth the effort? Any suggestions?

if you can make a huge 3 way harness connector thing that has 1 male input and 2 female outputs with a controller of somesort in the middle to allow you to switch ecus and block the other one off I dont see why not..

Being possible and being worth it...
EMU or SMT-6 with multiple map set ups would be the best and actually cheapest possible answer.
95maxrider has an N2O friendly map and an N/A map IIRC.

So what major components would I need, Jime is it as easy as you made it sound, seriously? (about a switch, and 124 wires?) The purpose is to keep the a TS ecu on while daily driving, then if the occasion comes, switch over to stock ecu, for nitrous use. I want to try it, but will I need any special hardware? will wires and switch work? Sorry I sound stupid, but eletrical work, is not my expertise.

You are making this way more complicated than it needs to be guy. Either get the JWT ECU which already does all this crap automatically, get an SAFC-II which you can switch between maps, or don't do any of it. What you are suggesting, while possible, is a complete waste of time when there are things designed for just the scenario you described already available for purchase.

OK, let me just get this straight, I have a TS ECU, normally it is suggested here on the org, not to use upgraded or modded ecu's with NITROUS due to (something about timing), ok, so if I get a SAFC-II (what the hell does it do? I'm new to that) I can run my TS ECU with Nitrous, i just have to make sure I switch maps?

The way a SAFCII works is simple. It changes the voltage that the computer sees from the mass air meter. At 10 different RPM points you can adjust the amount of fuel making it inside the motor at a certain % of throddle. For example if you are using N2O then you could make the car increase fuel by 10% at 4000 rpm when you are past half throddle. How much N2O are you planing on running? Generally you can run a 65 to 75 dry shot on a car with a stock fuel system. I did it for a year. If you want more you can go with a 125 wet shot that injects fuel in with the nitro. or for some serious cash you could make a direct port system, I have a feeling that is a little over your head though. Do lots of research, there is a ton of info on the subject.
As for putting in 2 different ECUs, not a chance. Unless you have an advanced degree in electrical engineering there is no way to modify the circuits of a single ECU. You could wire up 125 relays to swich the voltage current but then the resistance would change and you would be hosed any way. You're thinking too hard, easy options are out there. First define your goals then research how to accomplish them then set up a realistic budget and time table.
