Fit onto the maxima VQ35? Seems like it should? Could be a very worthy alternative to the crawford etc.. plenums that don't fit the FWD VQ35

How big is the spacer? If no more than an inch I don't think there should be a problem accept for clearing an aftermarket strut bar.

What spacers are you talking about? The ones I'm thinking of go in-between the upper and lower parts of the upper plenum (If that sentence makes any sense), meaning they wouldn't fit unless you had a Z plenum.

Ah you are correct. But even then, it should be alot easier to make than hacking the entire upper manifold. Don't know if the gains are the same though

There are some gains, but honestly I couldn't tell you the difference between the spacers and the plenums in gains. If I had to guess based on reading stuff on forums I'd say the spacers give about 80% or what the manifolds give. There are two sized spacers too though and I'm not real sure how they compare.

the 350zplenum already would be a couple inches above a 4th or 5th gen hood so adding a spacer.........

from what i have read there is a spacer that gives better gains than the plenums.. i think its a 1/2 inch spacer... 10rwhp

No. That isn't the phenolic spacers that you buy for Rusthangs. This is something entirely different.

I would strongly suggest not running this on a FWD VQ35 as you guys have completely different intake manifold designs. Here's what the Plenum spacers do, they allow more air in for the front two cylinders which seemd to be starved and equalize distribution based on the VQ35 RWD (350/G35) Intake Manifold.

In order to test this part on a FWD you would need a flow bench test done on the current FWD Intake manifold to see if you could benefit from seeing increased airflow to the two front cylinders.

why would you need to flow test it...if you installed a spacer between your upper manifold it would be just like installing a mevi or 00vi..i dont know what you talking about in the last statement..that would would need to flow bench test on the FWD manifold for the fornt cylinders..

It doesnt matter since none of them(cyls) are 'starved' as in 350z's.

space inbetween the upper mani and lower mani. That's how the 3.5 FWD VQs are right? Not like the clamshell rwd 3.5VQs

No this spacer goes between the 350z clamshell it will only work with that IM and it doesnt fit anyways without a hood scoop

I already figured that out. I'm NOW asking if a phenolic spacer work now. Inbetween the MAXIMA/ALTIMA upper/lower manifolds. Not inbetween the two upper Z/G clamshells

why do you think not... it would have more airflow. than being stock.. so you woud get more power.. am i wrong...you wouldnt see gains like the mevi or the 00vi but you would gain more power.. thats what im saying...

5% increase in horsepower from a gasket kit. So if I'm putting down 270 crank hp as it is, does that mean I'll get 283-284?

Might be cheap but I wouldn't expect the results their claiming. If only it were that easy.

If you prefer, you can stack multiple sets of our gaskets for more performance potential.
how will that work on a V motor?

Actually Acura Tl/CL Type S guys have said the gaskets created a noticeable difference on their engines, and someone might've dynoed it too, forgot. But since their engine is different from ours, can't expect the same result.
