Help with instilling a 00VI
I need help from the people that did not use the egr, how did you close the pipe (block it off). And a question for those that used a 5th gen throttle body with the swap, how did you hook up the IVAC or IAVC ,its been a long night(did you use the 5th or what?).

I made a triangle plate to cover the hole in the VI and got a plug to close the hole in the exhaust manifold.
I used the 5th gen IACV. All I did was swap the 5th gen IACV plug in place of the 4th gen one. The middle two wires match colors but the other 4 don't so I just hooked the others up accordingly. It has it's little quirks but it works good enough for me.

okay I tried to get the pipe off the exhaust but there is too much stuff in the way so I can't get my wrench down there and move it. Could I block of the egr guide tube that goes into the manifold.

That's my only option at this point unless I take out the entire egr system. One more question I dont have the 5th gen IACV plug so I'm rigging my 4th gen IACV plug to go into the 5th gen. I know that the 2 red wires stay in place but where do the other 4 go, if you could tell me what order they go in as if you were looking at the throttle body and the IACV was plugged in.

I should be, I just keep running into things that slow me down alot. There is just one thing that is blocking me for getting the upper on it is a black plug it hits the bottom of the manifold . I think it is the PCV (correct me if I am wrong) does anybody have a way to fix thisand make it work?

I finally got the wiring written down. Mine is set-up as follows:
1: yellow - yellow
2: red - red
3: purple/green - white/purple
4: gray/blue - gray/blue
5: red - red
6: yellow/black - gray/green
That's going from 4th gen wiring harness to 5th gen IACV plug. It looks like 4 of the wires matched colors instead of just 2 like I had originally posted.

Thank you!
#6 is transposed I believe
Is this wiring setup w/ the correct idle or is it the random idle issue

I didn't have the 5th gen IACV plug because my throttle body didn't come with one. So I just modified my 4th gen IACV plug as well as the IACV on the 5th gen throttle body and it plugged right up.
