Question Help Please!! 4TH GEN SUSPENSION PROBLEM

Guys a friend of mine purchased some "used" kyb agx struts and k-sport lowering springs from an individual that may be on here. From ebay.

The struts are seemingly not blown and the price was pretty good. "BUT"
the individual cut the springs. The initial drop on the springs are 2.2" the springs are now cut so low that they can't be locked into placed and when the nut at the top of the strut is machined down they still move from side to side and spin freely.

Are these even safe to put on the car?

Do drop springs usuallly have movement on the strut? He's boggled and dosent know what he should do.

He wants to know if this is maybe normal with aftermarket lowering springs.?

nothing normal about it. Maybe when you put the assembly in it gets compressed more. I myself wouldn't risk it.

I would ask for a refund, personally... Unless of course the auction actually said "The springs have been cut"

jeez people still cut spings?? i'd ask for some money back unless you knew about it. then you're SOL.

I'd doubt that it is safe that way. I'd tell him to buy a set of springs and scrap those. better safe than sorry.
