Wilwood BBK Squealing Issues..........

So I installed my Wilwood BBK last week, here are the specs:

Part Number: 14-NI-0051
* Forged Superlite 4-piston Calipers - Custom powdercoated red and wilwood raised name polished.
* 12.9 inch 2-piece rotors (aluminum hats) (Most current kits only come with 1 piece rotors)
* Slotted Only ($100 upgrade)
* 2 x Compound D High Performance Wilwood Polymatrix pads (bought an additional set)
* SS braided brake lines

My issues I'm having......I bedded them in properly, followed the directions directly off the Wilwood site on how to bed them. At first they squealed like hell every time the brakes were applied, after about 30-45mins of bedding them in, the squeal went away except for when I come to almost a complete stop, under 10-15mph. It squeals still just about every time and I've tried different braking procedures, ie...easing into it, slamming it, half and half. It seems to do it more when it's cold. Sometimes it doesn't do it, but most of the time it does. Anyone with this issue or know how to correct it. I was advised to layer the back of the pads with that gel stuff, but the pistons are hollow and I don't want to gunk it all up. Is there a pad of some sort that they make that I can place between the pistons and the pads?

Hopefully, you guys can tell me there's a fix to this.......Josh? (irish44j)

Thanks for the assist.

Installed pics will be up soon.

I'm pretty sure Josh had some squealing issues too, but that's all I know. Haha.

You're such a nice guy! I'm going to try more high speed bedding then. I only bedded them from about 65-70mph or so when I installed them. I'll force myself to do some triple digit bedding if it's required.

D compound is a light duty race pad, not a street pad. They will squeal at low temps no matter what you do.

If you want to use these brakes on the street, pick up a different pad compound.

I highly recommend Ferodo DS2500 for low noise and great performance. They dust like mad, however. My wheels are black in 1000 miles. (then again, I only wash the car every 2-3-4-5 months......)

Also may want to look into a Hawk HPS.
