Yesterday I was driving fairly fast when I noticed traffic started building up. I slammed on the brakes a good distance away but noticed the wheel was turning left and I had to counteract to keep the wheel straight. Is this brake bias? I have j30 brake setup in the front with hawk hps on my 4th gen.

Dont think its brake bias but maybe sticking calipers or something. I thought brake bias was amount from front to rear not left or right. If it pulls to one side when braking should be something else.

technically speaking, yes. it's biased toward one wheel over another. but it's not the kinds we usually refer to here.

you definitely need to figure out what the problem is. you could have anything from a sticking caliper to an alignment problem to a bad ball joint.

Thanks. I'll take a look at it during the warmer months. I think it may be a sticking caliper though b/c sometimes when I place it in drive I hear the front driver wheel break free.

Brakes problems are not something you should be "looking at later"..Get it fixed asap.

also check your tire pressure.....if right and left are different pressures (or different tread depth) it could affect braking "bias" side to side.

Tire pressure is fine and thread depth is good too. These tires only have 6000 miles on them. There is no noticeable signs of uneven wear.
