i can tell you, ( cause thats my bm1 blue engine cover ) that it does fade. i noticed it after a few months of being on the engine. i don't think the p/d reacts to the heat very well. maybe outside on the wheels or body it might. still prefer regular paint and clear to pd. maybe in the foreseeable future it'll advance and have better resistance to heat and the elements. still looks ok, but a tad faded.
