Will you put this spoiler on?

Fuel door on the the 2020 Maxima does not have the mechanism to lock, therefore, it does not lock...you can lock the glove box with the key, however...but that does not lock when I lock the car. I also have the following items that do not have locking gas caps:
a chainsaw
two motorcycles
a lawn tractor
a string trimmer
a leaf blower
My 2000 vintage Cadillac Sedan Deville does, interestingly enough have a locking gas cap, I just cannot figure out how to unlock it. I have a schematic of the system and am planning to remove it and put it on the maxima...

I would not want this style on my '17 Max, Coulis Red. I'd go for OEM-look black. I'll bet this one, in short order, will warp, showing the internal vertical molds, if it even has that. How much are they askin'? You know, you may be asking the wrong crowd as I gather the majority of us are baby boomers, or the next gen. who know a thing or two but whose taste may differ from the younger crowd. The other thing I don't like about this particular spoiler is that the black spoiler looks tacked on the white finish. It would probably work well, even for me, if it were on a darker colored car such as dark grey, or black. If you opted for a mod'ed black roof and maybe a black bottom rear valance, that could work out okay with this one, plus maybe black out wheels. Heck, buy what makes you happy. Check with a few of your buds and their friends. That's who you really want to impress anyway, right? Good luck with your choice.

As a long time Maxima owner, 9 cars since 1990, I understand that there are a number of younger Maxima enthusiasts that enjoy personalizing their cars, whether their goals are performance or aestheically oriented. As many have stated here, it's your car, do what you like...I do also feel that as a mid- maybe slightly upper level sedan, that some of the cosmetic mods I have seen here and on the road are again, my opinon, a bit over the top. That particular spoiler does not belong on a Maxima, regardless of color. The OEM unit is less obtrusive, yet gives the tail of the car an improved appearance.
And with that said, have at it, make it yours!!

Did you not read your own previous thread on this topic?

I say go for it bro. If you like how it looks on the car put it on the car. Most of the people who are saying no, probably all have the same mods on their car stillen, vossen, K-sport and motordyne. Bro, I do what satisfies ME. Now if they wanna finance your build........
Its good to be different
