Exhaust rust at 6k miles on a Texas car?

Anyone else experience this on the muffler tips (before the stainless steel tips)?
Have about 6k miles on it. I'm in Texas, granted we did get some rain a few months ago. Car was built in February 2016 and has never been on a salted road.

Maxima muffler rust at 6k miles.
I haven't mentioned it yet to my dealership Crest Nissan of Frisco but suspect it would not be covered by the 3/36k since it's considered a wear item. Thoughts?

I also have this on both pipes. However my car has 11k miles and I live in Hawaii right on the beach so I thought it was normal since everything rusts. Let me know what your dealer says if you mention it.

Possibly condensation that doesn't dry from taking short trips.

This has to be the worst problem anyone has reported on this forum. I can't imagine the agony you are going thru.

Its just surface rust, and very normal. Don't worry about it.

Yeah I think I will ignore it. I don't like replacing parts that aren't broken and the factory exhaust probably wouldn't fetch a lot of money.

Thats not rust, its surface oxidation, the reaction of the metal with air and moisture, my 09 Maxima has it but it is rock solid for 7 years, now my brothers 300C with his aftermarket Borla exhaust, that exhaust rusted bad, you could push your fingers into the mufflers like a cookie, the tips fell off.
