Front Plate Bracket...Do I have to drill holes?
I just got a 2016 Maxima and super excited. Still on temp tags but when my plates come in, I really dont want to drill into my front bumper if I dont have to. Are there alternatives or not much choice? Thanks!

If I had to put on front plates I would use this: http://shop.bigmikesperformanceparts...xima-SNS79.htm

I just undid about 5 screws on the bottom splash cover (just under the bottom of the front bumper) and slipped the license plate up under the grill and fastened it there with a couple of black ties. Been around many cops and no one has stopped me yet. Actually all the plate numbers are very visible right through the grill during the day and during night time driving the plate reflects headlights so cops should still be able to detect that I have a front plate on. I did the stealth plate thing because I just hate the thought of an external plate messing up the beauty of this front end design. Before my first dealer maintenance visit I will remove the plate 'cause I don't want the dealership to think I'm cutting off cooling air flow to the motor maybe putting my engine warranty in jeopardy. I know, you want a photo so I'll post one if anyone is interested.

Wanting to mount my plate there ... what did you use to mount it ? Any trouble with authority...? Is it easier to access from top or bottom?..

I am thinking of this one.

I don't think this will work on our cars. The air dam cover under there does not seem strong enough plus there is drilling involved (3 holes). Also I had one mounted on my Vette (I cared not for the holes because they are out of sight) and after 1 year a small cheaply made plastic pulley fell apart and the thing self-destructed. Also, the rubber grommets that go through the mounting holes and into brass bolts tends to rip making remounting not too good if you have to remove the assy for some reason.

This looks like the best basic solution. I have not installed my front plate yet because we really like the look of the new Maxima's front end. This may be my solution. Thanks!!

If you look closely, there are two small dimples in your front bumper that will serve as a guide for where to drill the holes...drill two pilot holes, and then align your self tapping screws, and mount your bracket.
I live in Maryland, which has a front plate law, but my dealership shipping in a car in network from Pennsylvania, which doesn't have a front plate law. The dealership provided a bracket and screws, and offered to install it, but i declined and said i'd do it myself (figuring I'd see how long i could go without getting pulled over for no front tags).
3 years later, still no ticket (knock on wood), although one warning.
