Passenger side airbag recall 16-17 Maxima
Here is a new recall for you 16 Max owners FYI:http://www.motortrend.com/news/nissa...airbag-sensor/
The Problem: The front passenger Occupant Classification System may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child. Alternatively, the sensors may indicate the passenger seat is empty despite it being occupied. If so, the passenger front airbag may be turned off and not deploy during a crash.

Thanks, MONTE. I have been keeping a wary eye on my passenger seat airbag 'on/off/ light as it sometimes seems slow to respond to a person sitting in that seat. So far, it ends up with the correct setting, but I have a 90 pound grandaughter who will be sitting there soon, and I am concerned.

Very good advice, which we have been following since September. But she is a teenager, and she and I will be travelling alone on an upcoming trip, and she wants to sit up front. I can assure you we will keep an eye on that little air bag light, and if it is not correct, she will indeed be moved to her usual backseat prison.
