May has always been a bad month for lease's at Nissan cause its the start of there financial first qtr. Usually no incentives. My usually term is
12k miles per year for 3yrs. Nissan is now offering 10k miles per year at 3yrs which would work for me. As of now there aren't many 2021 Maxima
Platinum's around my area. Seem to be a few SR's which i am not interested to buy or lease.

davidmetro - thanks for your reply but i am not interested in a low mileage 2020 - its got to be new 2021 ! Been a Maxima driver since 1993 !

I know there are plenty other cars to consider but nothing interests me. This could very well be the early signs of the end of the Maxima.
Time will tell. I have been in the 40th anniversary edition which is very nice. But in my opinion its not worth the additional cost. the local dealer has had one
inside the showroom since early December.
Providing that you get a good discount, the Maxima is is the value leader especially at the Platinum level. It has features not available in the Avalon and others. I have and use the power rear window sunshade, the power tilt and telescope steering column, and the drivers seat thigh support. I have a year left on my lease then I don't know what is next. Not a Nissan I guess. Good luck and do keep us posted on what you do.

2020 Maxima SL
MSRP $40,730, paid $34,300. I've had for almost 6 months. I absolutely love this car, right down to it's much maligned CVT!

Just purchased a 16 sv for $16,900 plus sales tax. It’s got 68k miles, hoping it will hold up through the next 5 years that I’m making payments.

Traded in my 18 sv for a 21 platinum. 35k out the door. Very happy with the platinum. Seats and ride are noticibly better than in my sv. One thing I have to mess with is the stereo. I have the bose now and have to make some adjustments. Love the cooled.seats too. For someone who works outside, it will be very nice at the end of a long, hot day

Leased a new 2022 Maxima SV

Valley Nissan in Longmont, CO was advertising their one remaining ‘22 model for: $2999 down payment, $369/mo. X 18 months, 10K per year.
I was able to negotiate $2999 due at signing, including first month’s payment, taxes, dealer handling ($700!), $344/mo. X 18 months, 10K. Sweet! No trade. Plus they threw in winter mats (if I wrote a Google review) and it already had clear mask applied.

Bought a 17’ SR with only 25k on it. Has the Alacantra brown leather interior. The car is super black. Beautiful car. Cost was 20k after negotiating.

That sounds like a pretty good deal, especially in this environment. According to @GuyDealership on twitter, Nissan/Infiniti is one of the brands with decent new inventory, so I wonder if that is helping keep the used Nissan prices in check somewhat?

First post.

Bought a 17' Platinum in 2018 with just 13k on it for $26k. I thought it was a decent deal. So I went for it. It's now at 55k and it's been performing without a hitch!

Yeah it was decently below market value and running as a special. I’ve been looking for a good deal Maxima for sometime and this deal aligned up nicely.

the only downside is the original owner opted for the 18s vs. the 19s for ride comfort. So I’m currently looking for a pair of used 19 inch OEMs.

I’ll likely leave the rest stock, but may consider the eibach springs to lower it, and swapping the rear lights out for the 19+ look. The car is so good as is I don’t really have much ambition to mod it much.

Congrats. I agree there is not much you need to do. I would consider adding the factory side skirt trim and the rocker lights. also a factory or dealer option. Wheels should be easy to find.

Thumbs up

Not a new car purchase...but.......
I traded in my 2016 Maxima platinum for a 2021 Maxima 40th anniversary edition in late January, 2023. Paid $33,115 before tax/title/fees for the 2021 with about 25k miles, but only got $15,500 for my 2016 with 68k miles. I was hoping to get closer to $17k for my 2016 because it was nearly perfect for a 7 y/o car; but it didn't happen. Once the new-car bug bite me, it was all over. I just couldn't resist the upgrade.
I'm enjoying the 2021...the driver's seat seems more comfortable; the nav is updated, and carplay is cool. Plus, there's no rear clunking noise in cold weather. 👍👍👍
