Disabling Traction Control ?

VDC, or traction control as it used to be called, can be disabled with the switch near the mirror adjustment panel. It should fully disable to the system, except for ABS, which is full time regardless of the whether the VDC system is on or off. You can verify this with a warning light on the dashboard.
Also, our cars have a limited slip differential (according to my dealer, I have yet to confirm it).
How were you driving that caused you to almost get stuck? The VDC system is there to help you, not hinder you...

In my previous BMW, if you hold the traction control button for 5 seconds, it disables the entire system.

I was driving in a wet sandy area that had a soft slope and was inclining up with the system being off but the other warning light that looks like a car sliding showed up blinking on the dash board killing the throttle.

I want both lights on (which means both systems Traction Control & VDC OFF)
The one on the left = VDC, could be disabled using the button next to the drivers panel on the left.
The one on the right = Traction Control, could NOT be turned off and blinked for me cutting the throttle!
How on earth can you disable it ?

I notice that you have a different year than mine (I have a 2012), I am honestly out of ideas.
Perhaps Nissan changed the system functions?

According to what I've read in the manual when the VDC Off light is on that means the system is actually off (it's one of those Japanese things, lights on means the system is off, lights off means the system is on).
My car does the same thing as your but not on the Traction Control, the only time that comes on is when there are conditions that affect the car like wet roads, maybe when you take a turn too abruptly causing a side to side shift in the weight of the car too drastic.
This system (VDC) is very sensitive so it interrupts often and the manual says you should drive with this on for most conditions, I actually hate this feature until i need it when it rains.

BTW when doing my lights i had the entire front in the air, and noticed that drivers side would not rotate when taking off the lugs. while the passenger was free to rotate.
