If you had to choose.. 2010 Audi A5 or 2010 Max
I saw a black A5 in my hood yesterday looking like straight sex. Anybody here ever drove an Audi A5/S5 coupe before? Whats the handling and performance compared to the max? If conditions were right and you're able to choose.. 2010 Audi A5/S5 or 2010 Max?

I've driven an A4 (2008?) and an S4 (2010?). The A4 was a POS and was/is starting to become a huge money pit for my buddy. He drove my Maxima and the next day was at the dealership for a test drive. But he's from Finland so he ended up getting a 335i. The S4 was nice. It handled great and had good high end power. That thing would blow the doors off the Max.
Not sure how the A5 or S5 drives but those things (Audi's) are wicked expensive to fix.
Final verdict
Marry = Maxima
F*ck = S5
Kill = A5

I read that the 2.0 gives you more torque compared to the 3.2 v6 but both same top speed. Pretty much the v4 is quicker off line. The max has more Hp than both A5s. S5 on a whole different level though.
The max is more for less, All true, but I barely have use for my rear seats (no kids), I'll have to test drive.
U know, YOLO.

You're talking two different animals right there. One's a beast, and the other, meh.

I show a no option 2010 A5 2.0 CPO with 30K miles as costing $34,500 (KBB) so you should be choosing between the A5 and a loaded 2013 SV

Buy the Audi if you want to impress people that you own an Audi, buy the Maxima if you want a car that will cost less to maintain and still have a really nice car to drive. Yes the A5 looks nice but the Maxima is a better buy other than that.

If you drive a short distance, Audi. If you are going to drive the heck out of it. Maxima.
Like someone said before, you are comparing two completely different cars. There are other cars where you could find a middle ground. Good luck

I drive from the Bronx to Harlem from Harlem to Bronx 98% of the time. 87 and Buckner flow. I was gonna go for a 2010+ max with pano and that runs for $22k+ and I could find a 2009-10 A5 for several thousands more. I Love the Max , don't get me wrong , just was thinking of switching it up. I owned in the past Cavelier, Taurus , 04 Elite Max, 05 Tl, 07 MDX, 07 Accord. I'm not into racing but ill give it to someone on the late night , lol.

My Ma has a 2008 Manual Audi A4 with the S-Line Package..Honestly, it has never broken down once..nor did it ever have an defects. So I can't agree that A4s are piece of s*** cars..because they ride nice..and they have some pep to them. The sound system is great too. I love my Maxima though..and I would probably choose it over an A5 simply because the Maxima is mean looking.
Now if it was between an S4 or Maxima..well lol..S4 all day baby!

Sort of a strange comparison. The Audi A5/S5 comes in many variations, but the price ranges from around $38,000 to $60,000. The versions equivalent to my Maxima SV with Premium and Tech packages are nearer $60,000 than to $38,000. So the only equivalent comparison would be between a NEW Maxima and an OLD USED Audi.
Yes, there are reports of a few Audis that have been reliable, But Consumer Reports, based on many thousands of respondents, rates the Audi A5/S5 as way below average in reliability - a black ball - the lowest reliability they can give. What makes this rating even worse is the fact that, per Consumer Reports, repairs at Audi dealerships are more expensive than at most other dealerships.
The past decade has been ravaged with ever more violent storms, with flooding becoming a way of life. There are probably over a million used vehicles for sale across this country that have hidden flood damage. A car that has been subjected to flooding is a car that will have problems cropping up the rest of its time on earth.
Anyone buying a used vehicle these days without personally knowing the only previous owner needs to move to Las Vegas, where every facet of life is a pure crapshoot. These days, I would stick to my old car, no matter how old, before rolling the dice on a used car.
The wise choice is easily the Maxima. But those with tons of money to burn and a Teutonic tilt might enjoy the A5/S5. Just be sure the Audi dealer is not too far away, and there is a good 24/7 tow service close by.

A5 is a nice car, major concern would be the engine, the 2.0 is a oil drinker, some do some don't, my buddys girlfriend owned an A4 and now a Q5 and both burn oil, she drives the **** out of them, never letting them warm up and foot to the floor on cold mornings so that is probably the reason
Get the CPO that covers it to 100k, enjoy the car come back to share, if you want a change get a change, you only live once
