I guess I'm just spoiled with my Acura and Infiniti right now since they don't make these noises, and neither did my MB a few years ago! I think is must be a luxury company thing! You have to get a luxury car company (Caddy, Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, BMW, Audi, MB, etc) not to hear these noises.

The other day when I was walking at my local park, there was a Buick and Caddy right next to each other with the engines turned on idling. I head a little bit of this knocking/pinging/clinging noises coming out of the Buick, but not as bad as my Max, but the Caddy was silent, except for the engine running of course, like my Acura and Infiniti! Must be a luxury thing
