Not reported here before your post. One poster felt his sunshade was sort of binding a little as it went up and down, but, other than that, nothing has been mentioned about the rear shade.

Have you sat in the back seat while someone else drove and put your finger on the shade and confirmed the noise stopped? That way, we know it is the shade, and not something else in the parcel shelf area, which has rattled in some Maximas, especially the 6th gen.

Sitting back near the shade also gives you a chance to maybe determine exactly which part of the shade assembly is rattling. If the rattle is in some part that is visible when the shade is up, we may be able to concoct a fix. I would have directed you to the dealer, but, while some dealers (like mine) are great, others sometimes tend to be careless, and a service tech could sit in your plush leather seat with a screwdriver sticking out of his back pocket. And of course deny to the death he made that hole.

Examine this shade very closely while someone else is driving, and let us know what you find.
