I installed the Stillen exhaust on my '10 a few weeks back. The install was straight forward and everything lined up nicely. The exhaust note is deeper than stock but not too loud which is what I wanted; I included a sound clip below. I haven't seen any side by side pics of the Stillen next to the stock exhaust so I figured I'd post some. Actually, the center exhaust tubes look very similar between the two as far as the overall pipe diameter. Therefore, I doubt the Stillen catback produces any significant gains over just the Stillen rear muffler section since the biggest difference between the Stillen catback and stock are the muffler sections. So an option for those looking to save a few bucks might be to just get the rear muffler section. Each Stillen muffler weighs about double that of the stock component based on the feel in the hand (I didn't put them on a scale or anything).

any effect on gas or power gains? how much did you pay it looks hot
I didn't notice any change in gas mileage and she pulls a little harder. Nothing dramatic though. I really got the exhaust more for sound and looks than anything.

I added the 'SV'. I know some like the debaged look but I think it adds balance to the rear.

Looks really good. Thanks for the fulls size pic of the exhaust side by side. Question: Where did you get you SV emblems on the back of your car? I really like them?

Thanks. I got the letters from a local auto parts; don't recall which one though. I've had them on the car since like the first week of ownership.

I love the side-by-side photos. Care to share a video of the sound?

Man courtesy of this wonderful forum...There are 100s of posts on debadging and going in details on how to debadge. Yet here we have a member adding extra emblem 'SV'. Awesome ideas from various people. Rear on the vehicle with this emblem does look pretty.
Thanks for the pics.
What advice would you give someone who knows nothing about cars and wants to install a set of those exhaust and also the K&N High Performance Air Intake Kits.

for someone that knows nothiong about cars.........
The exhaust is very do-able. it is easier than you think. The toughest part would be getting the car in the air SAFELY enough to get under there. If the exhaust has been on there for a long time, the bolts may be very tough. Toughness scale for someone that knows nothing: 3 of 10 it's more intimidation than anything
an air intake is much more complicated and tighter to work with. The supplied directions usually tell you only half of the work necessary. It is do-able but on a toughness scale, I give it a 7 of 10. working on an engine is always tougher for the person who knows nothing about cars. For you, I am tempted to tell you to have someone do it

Thanks, that was a great reply now I have another question. The strut and sway bars, what purpose do they serve and would you advice that the sway bar be installed at the same time as the exhaust?

They help tighten up the handling (take corners better/faster/more stable)
sway bar installed with exhaust.... yea, if you bought both already and the car is up in the air, perfect time, else you'll just have to get under there again. I would think the sway bar would be easier to do first then the exhaust. I have a feeling that the exhaust will have to be lowered (if already installed) to make it easier to get the sway bar installed. I'll know for sure this week as I have sitting in the garage: the Stillen sway bar and Stillen strut brace

im about to install stillen full cat back but a friend of mine told me to have his friend do it bc he owns a tuner shop... i work at a Lexus dealership and would have one of my master techs install it originally.... is it necessary to have the engine tuned after the install or just let it ride??

No tune needed for the cat back, or any other basic bolt on in general. It's a very easy install. Took me about an hour or so using ramps.

Does installing an exhaust call for any air/fuel changes. Sorry I'm a noob at the Maxima. I'm coming from a 600 HP Cobra that needed tweaking with any power adder.

welcome to refinement. Do you still have the Cobra? Sounds fun for weekends but not as a daily driver

Sold it a little while ago. One reason for the sale it was my DD. I wish I could have kept it, but bought the wife a Volvo XC90 and me a Maxima. Something had to go.

The ECU can adjust the A/F ratio for basic bolt ones. So for things like intakes/exhausts the car can adjust just fine. Once you start drastically affecting the A/F ratio by changing things like cams or significantly larger intake plenums then the car would need to be tuned.
