Just purchased my 2010 Maxima with Sport and Tech package. I synced up my HTC Touch Pro and my Handset Phonebook was downloaded. It displayed exactly like it is in my phone which is Last Name, First Name. However, when entering the car a day later and my phone auto-connecting, my phonebook was now showing First Name, Last Name. I did not make any changes to my phone prior to getting back into my car that day and still have not. However, my phonebook has since gone back to Last Name, First Name. I really would prefer First Name, Last Name. Does anyone know why this happened or how to change it back and forth?

i just purchased my 2010 handset phone book and i am having the same issues with my blue-tooth. it only connects for 5 sec and disconnects. What can i do?
Sorry sandra, I'm not sure how to fix that but I know I've seen others with the same issue. Try doing a search. As far as my original question, anyone have any ideas on this? It truly baffles me.

As a follow-up to this, I reordered my contact list in my phone by First Name, Last Name. I then deleted the partnership on my phone and in the car and repaired. After the initial download of the phonebook, my contact list was still Last Name, First Name in the car. There has to be a setting somewhere that is controlling this.

Obviously, there is, though it may not be available to users! (I haven't seen it but then, I use voice tags.) You may want to contact Nissan Directly for this and report their solution back to the group. Perhaps there is a secret "display order" some may want to use.
Please also refer to the FAQ's section. If the phone is listed and you are still having difficulties, please call the Bluetooth hotline at 866-326-6335.
Your local Nissan dealership's service department can also assist you.
We hope that these sources provide the specific information you were looking for.
At Nissan, we are committed to a high level of customer service.
Sincerely,
Nissan North America

I still don't like the way mine downloaded - if you have multiple contact numbers for one person - it's singly lists them all out - kind of annoying ... I think I'll just delete it altogether ...
Thanks for the link. Of course of all the phones that are incompatible, my wife has the Nokia that Nissan doesn't like. Looks like she gets a new phone on top of a new car.
This just gets more fun by the minute. We went in and upgraded her Nokia that was listed as incompatible. We got a new LG Chocolate Touch which just came out. Of course it isn't listed on the Nissan website. The model is a VS8575. So, I look up the instructions for a VS8550 and of course it says you can't download your entire phonebook, just individual entries. However, on the VX8500 you can't download anything. So I guess I will just try and if it fails, wait until Nissan gets around to testing the new phone. What PITA.
