Shark Fin Antenna

This might sound a little corny and some of you might love it but I was wondering if you can buy those shark fin antennas. I have the 09 S model so i do not have the antenna that comes on the premium models. Obviously it would be for looks not functionality. I actually do not love the ones on the premium package maximas. i was wanting the bigger more pronounced one like on the 2007 BMW 745's. What do you guys think?

Careful, those flashing blue LEDs will get you thrown in jail for impersonating a cop. Seriously, I don't like the fact that my satellite radio requires me to have an antenna on top of the car. Integrating the radio antenna into the rear window was one of the best moves Nissan could have made in terms of keeping a car looking clean. So, I'm just not feeling adding an extra part that serves no purpose. It kinda reminds me of when people used to put fake cell phone antennas on cars that clearly had no phone in them. Regardless, it is your car so it doesn't matter what we say.

Well, that's not an antenna though, is it? It's a piece of triangular plastic and nothing more. You might as well get a chrome "427" for each front quarter panel so people think you have a big block in it. Jeez.

I dont exactly think thats the same but you are entitled to an opinion. If i were adding it to make people think there was a satellite on board it might but i want it for the look it gives the car not to impress anyone. I do not see it being any different then adding a spoiler to a car. Most people put a chrome 427 badge on the car to advertise what others cant see under the hood. So your analogy is a bad one. Anyway i appreciate the feedback.

If a cop sees a flashing blue LED, he will give you a ticket for attempting to rice-out a $30k Maxima. It's a misdemeanor. People, if circumstances place enough bucks in your hand to buy a Maxima, you accrue a lot of style points. But you lose them all, and then some if you can't distinguish between a stylish mod and rice.

Just so everyone is clear that guy posted that as a joke. I would rather die then put a flashing antenna on my beautiful car.

Are you serious??

If so, that is so Rice! I wouldn't really want anything like that on my car if it isn't functional/serves a valid purpose.

It really does nothing for the look of your car but good luck with that, I think!

I have never seen or known a ricer to be associated with a satelite antenna?? LOL. Its not like I said im gonna add a 5 inch tailpipe and a big K&N sticker. In fact take a look at the cars that have those antennas and you will see that they are mostly BMW, LEXUS and Mercedes. I think it is a high tech classy addition. Honestly half the time people never even notice it but I just dont associate it with ricers.

I guess everyone sees things differently. Thanks for the input.

I'm a huge fan of the shark fin. I traded in my 2009 Accord Coupe, which had the shark fin, for my 2010 Max and miss the look of it.
