I'm just curious to see if anyone got cargo nets with their car. I remember that they came with my 6th gen but were nowhere to be found on the 7th gen.

Okay, sounds like I got gypped. I did go ahead and order them from Courtesy Nissan.

Yep; one of the three nets in the '09 does the same thing.
I have a large, slightly flexible, rubber adjustable compartmentalized trunk cargo system that reaches wall-to-wall. I bought it through the Nissan parts department in July 1999, and have used it in my last three Maximas. It is so wonderful for groceries, wet objects, tools, garden plants, etc, etc. But it makes checking/retrieving the spare a nightmare.
go back to the dealer where you bought the car from and tell them you didnt get the nets, You shouldnt have to pay for something that should have came with the car.

The discs that the nets hook to were not even installed in the car. The normal fasteners were installed. This lead me to believe that they were not even supposed to be in the car in the first place. Sounds like Nissan may have deleted them on the 2010 models. Can any other 2010 owners chime in please?

I have a 2010 premium/prem tech and I dont have the cargo nets. I asked for it and also not sure if i should have gotten them too.

Wow! Interesting! I can't imagine why they would do away with the cargo nets. I wouldn't think it was costing Nissan very much to throw those into the mix. Maybe they have a new cargo system they are getting ready to release as an after-purchase parts department item?
I didn't get one in my 2010 either. I ended up ordering one.

Why would they delete the nets on the 2010's? And to be honest, this model's Maxima has the worst Cargo nets ever. They don't really hold much of anything, and the side nets are rather useless. What are you thinking Nissan?

Can one of you '09 owners post some pics of these side nets? I'm curious to see what they look like. The net I ordered just goes across the bottom of the truck opening. Doesn't really hold too much but it keeps small items from shifting around.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were deleted in the 2010. The side ones are about worthless and only the one going across the trunk is worth anything. I keep the umbrella, squeegee and such in it all the time. Mine also came with the trunk organizer and all the goodies like little first aid kit, etc, tho honestly, it's rather difficult to get to.

I skipped the trunk organizer because of the big cargo organizer I keep moving to my latest Maxima. I would not be able to reach the trunk organizer if I had one.
It was in there when I bought it. I never knew it until I viewed your post (I think it was yours) about checking the pressure on your spare.
I am very anal about keeping 60 psi in my spare. My wife and I are retired, and love to travel the back roads. That often takes us to the middle of nowhere. In such situations, a spare with no air can be a bear.
I just can't believe how poorly they fit on the round hooks on my 09'. Maybe it's just me but I've tried switching them around all kinds of different ways thinking I had hooked them on wrong, but just doesn't seem to fit very well. Does everyone use the plastic "hooks" or do you hook the netting around the round part of the plastic? I'm currently hooking my side nets onto the round part of the holder b/c seems like it falls right off of the hooks with the slightest bit of wiggling while trying to get some cargo in there.

I didnt get any cargo net with my 09 Max. I am interested in the side "pocket" net. I looked through Courtesy Nissan but I was not able to find it. Let me know if anyone of you guys feel it useless and wants to sell one of their side nets. Thanks guys.

To be honest they aren't even worth the shipping to get them there. Most of the time they can't even hold themselves up let alone objects with any recordable mass.

You couldn't be more right; I have a 2010 Max SV with cold and tech packages at about a msrp of 38k; didn't come with a cargo net; Nissan charges me I think $45 to order and get one; when it comes in I bring it out to the car and try to put it on and it is the cheapest piece of crap ever made; it was so small there was no way it could even hold grocery bags plus it didn't even stretch tightly when hooked onto the two hooks and I had the service guy come out and show him how terrible the netting was
he said there was actually bolt holes for two more hooks to go down by the carpet trunk liner and that he would have to order them and charge me another 8 dollars a hook so that the net would stretch taught
I told him, now on a 38k dollar car that didn't come with a cargo net your going to clip me another 16 bucks, now over $60 dollars, cargo net that couldn't hold a piece of paper
I told him to take the net out and refund my money which he did
I went down to PepBoys, bought a medium size cargo net for like $15 bucks, put it in the car and it fits perfectly; it is just the right size for grocery bags and similiar items and was taught enough with just the two hooks to hold item in
How could Nissan screw-up so bad on a cargo net, I mean come on!!!!
Lots of times during PDI which is what the service dept. does when the vehicle comes off of the the truck they discard certain items like this. They dont pay attention to whats in the plastic or sometimes when we sell the cars and one didnt come with it we rob one from another max with the intention of replacing it. Usually the dealership gets busy and forgets to order a replacement. If you look on your window sticker it will tell you the optional equip. If it is standard which it is on an sv it should be free. in fact it is part of your delivery checklist your salesman should go over with you to know the features your vehicle has. Your dealer owes it to you go speak with the new car sales manager and request one. If he denies you one go to the gm. If the dealership is audited they are screwed especially if you didnt sign the delivery checklist due to the vehicle being incomplete. Good Luck.
depends on which model you have if it is an S model than no. SV than yes. If find them useless but some want them. I have several customers that order them. I gave mine away to a customer that wanted them
I don't understand what your saying, I have a SV and the cargo net did not come with the car, it should for an almost 38k dollar price tag is what I'm trying to say; when I've gotten my Acura and Infiniti's in the past for near the same amount of money as the Maxima, cargo nets came with the car so for Nissan not to have it then charge me over 60 bucks is just ridiculous
plus, the net when installed, sagged and would not be big enough to put a grocery bag in or hold it in place since it sagged, even the service advisor said it didn't look like it would hold anything in place unless he order the two other plastic clips to help pull the net tight
absolutely ridiculous to have to go through that on a car as expensive as the Maxima
most people, like myself, like having cargo nets so our crap doesn't go flying around the trunk when we drive
for God sake, the Camry, when I was looking at it came with a small package of cargo/floor mat set, cargo net, and splash guards at a certain trim level and above and that car was a lot less money then the maxima
I had a 07 and the dealer let me keep mine to put in my 09 he said the 09 did no longer come with cargo nets.
The '09s did come with cargo nets (or should have), but I guess the '10s don't. I like mine. I think they're very useful for keeping a few things at a time from rolling around the trunk - small bags, bottles, milk, etc.

Well I just broke out the window sticker for my SV and it doesn't list a cargo net under standard equipment or under optional equipment
If I was suppose to get one then why did the part department charge me over $60 dollars for one? I even mentioned it to my salesman that I ordered one but returned it because of how useless it was and he never said anything to me about that I should have gotten one with the car!

Im sorry bro that is what is wrong with this business today. The sales associates are lazy and dont care about nothing but the commission voucher. Not all but most that is. I take my job very seriously and want the customer to be satisfied. I know you dont live in my area and are not my customer but I can help you out. If you want one send my a private message with an address and I will send you one at no charge.
