We need a new unique grill!! What are your ideas?

Hey I was thinking cant we get a custom grill made from somewhere? I am just not loving the ones that are available. I think if we came up with a design and had enough guys to purchase it we could get it made. Any of you photoshoppers want to create something and we can then see if we can find some one to fabricate it. I need a sick unique Grill.

Tell us what your ideas are for an amazing new grill.

I saw a new one by billetanything.com it was kind of nice and i have never seen it before today but still not a jawdropper.

Well I guess we are gonna split hairs. I figure tens of thousands of 7th gen maximas have been sold. So you think if lets say 10 guys from this forum design and buy a grill that means its not unique??

Lets get some ideas together

i still think strut has some great design directions for their grilles but majority of the people on here thinks they looks tooo "gangsta" whatever that mean.i do agree the strut emblem is kinda over the top . i think something along the lines with black mesh, intricate cuts would make the car pop pop out. all the other grilles out there makes the car seem incomplete, the grilles just dont match the design of the car.. that just my opinion

Yeah I agree. i would like a nice STRUT like mess grill with really small holes and sharp diamond cuts. In chrome or black.

Somebody with photoshop shoudl be able to take something from Struts site and photoshop it on right?

Has anyone debadged the fron grille? OEM grille minus the Nissan burger. Or can someone with PS please do a quick rendering? :P

IMO what would look killer would be a debaged factory style grille with "black chrome"

The unpainted mesh grilles look terrible IMO. and people spend hundreds for them? I could go to home depot, spend $10 on gutter mesh and sheet metal, and make that. That's all they are - a flat piece of metal and some gutter mesh.

Actually, if someone has an extra stock grille, you could probably get the same look by using Niteshade tinting spray on the chrome.

I don't have PS on this machine, but this is one I did a few months ago. Not quite the same, I didn't debadge, but IMO a black chrome stock grille would look killer.

See I like them both but I love that second one. It is much nicer then the mesh e and g grills. i like that tight winded mesh look and the border is nicer too. The way the center on top and bottom is different then the rest. How do we get one of these ,ade at a decent price?

Does anyone know a place that cutom makles grills to order. if we can get a few orders together?

Great Job on the Photoshop.

how about something similar to the Honda Ridgeline grille... obviously smaller honeycomb, but with the chrome around the outside

(my ex-truck)

Something like that with chrome on the border, black for the middle and the chrome nissan logo and we might be on to something.

i like the honey comb shape. however, things i look for when considering a grille are

1. mesh gap size: i dont like the idea of being able to see through the grille and seeing the engine components. being able to see the engine through the grille just make the car look incomplete..

2 overall design: the grill should look like it was meant exclusively for that car. i see a lot of people who buy grilles and they either dont match the design of the car taking away from the quality look of the car.

depending on the design of the grille black would look really well, however sometimes black grilles make the car look like it has a huge empty hole in the front. some people may like this look. i particularly don't

my car is black and i like the look of chrome. call it gangster or ghetto if you want. i dont care. yes i think its a design technique stolen from Mercedes ( dont know if they were the first ones to utilize this style) but i think it does make the car look classy.

like i said.. just my opinion.

I also think if you want a grill that matches the design of the car that a grill similar to the current G37 grill would look excellent on the maxima. With a Nissan logo of course
