Alright guys I know that you all have been waiting to see what this looks like and I finally got the chance to put it on and take some pix of it. I hope that you guys all enjoy. To me this was pretty simple to put on but two people helped out big time. I did not find the need to use any type of glue to help with the process and after I put it on I put some "Blue" tape that I bought at autozone to hold it in place and parked it in sunlight so that it adheres to the window good. The length on it is perfect and it fits perfect as well (I did mess up at one corner and put it to close to the roof line when bending it into shape). Well enjoy the pix if you are interested just email HappyBuyItNow
Click HERE to see a video recording of the roof spoiler
Just sent them an email.. I'll let you know what they reply back with... & Uk what I was looking at the pic in closer detail and it looks like that is a roof spoiler that is on a 6th gen maxima... It has those chrome pieces on the roof line that only the 6th gen's had as far as ik... correct?
It would seem to me that this spoiler is located at a very odd place on the Max. The OEM spoiler is located where it is suppose to be. Neither function as a spoiler. The intention of both is to balance the lines of the Max.
I am too much of a reality guy. If it looks odd, due to its location, it would cause me to scratch my head.
But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I purchased this spoiler and it looks pretty good....the only thing is when you form it to the top edge of the glass it is off on both sides by like a little over 1/8th of an inch....I purchased the black and the paint is EXACT!..dunno if the the Stillen wing is the same way??...Only the headache was attaching it....I prepped the glass and used the 3m tape left it taped on for 2 days secure by Blue tape and it started to peel off....then i tried again with 3m and EPOXY and for some odd reason the EPOXY was bad or mixed improperly and started to peel off....Lastly while trying to clean the wing off and retry with just 3m tape and that 3m inhibitor stuff ....the epoxy residue got on the wing and now i have fingerprints embedded on there and its now totally ruined.......IMO its worth the money..... and one more thing....I have an S model without trunk spoiler and me personally having that roof wing on there looks pretty sexy and it kinda breaks up the curves on the car.....hope this helps

Stillen's Roof Spoiler doesn't have that problem you mentioned above and IMO it looks better because it doesn't stick up like that one does. As far as ensuring that it sticks I used Permatex along with the double-sided tape and it is nailed down solid.

post pics from all angles dude[/quote]

I'd love to see some pix if you have them... I'm one click away from buying the product from them since it will save me a lot of money being painted and all as well as it being cheaper than Stillens.

I'll try and do it @ work tomorrow..... just remember it will be taped down with blue tape and I'll try and take pics and hit it from all angles....and I'll get the pics from the corners.....the only thing that might be a pain in the *** is shaping the wing to my rear glass....Its getting colder and the material will be stiffer and harder to form.... i'll seriously try though

Awsome can't wait to see the pix... Better than nothing; and ya that is the guy that I am buying it from.

so what your saying is that it has to be 2/8 of an inch longer to fit onto the glass completly correct?
This upswing on the spoiler is not an engineered aerodynamic design to me. Air should be getting pushed down to minimize the incoming draft and the resulting air pushed down towards the Trunk Rear Spoiler.

The upswing causes fluid seperation from the roof and turbulent flow once it departs the roofline. How this interacts with the spoiler I'm not sure, someone would have to make a model and flow test it. One thing is for sure, the stock spoiler is for looks and has very little function. Besides, how fast are you going? In order for the drag increase/decrease to really make a difference in economy or performance you have to be absolutly blazing.

You are correct in your observation. Engineers go to great pains to ensure that the airflow around the Maxima "hugs" the contours of the car. Any divergence, or wake, leads to parasitic drag. The spoiler in question is indeed a "spoiler" in that it ruins the airflow over the car and thus increases drag.
Why people would use this spoiler is based not on aerodynamics but human nature. A person like me cringes at the sight of this speed-and-mpg robbing appendage. I fear that others that see it would laugh at me or at the very least throw rice my way.
But there are others who just view the spoiler as an artform. In their mind's eye, the spoiler embellishes the look of the Maxima. As they drive around town, they will get props from the right-brained crowd, and feel good about the experience.
With respect to this spoiler, you can reside in either camp and be happy about your choice. But never the twain shall mix.

Well the way that I look at is is that if the rear deck-lid spoiler is responsible for keeping the car down then the flap on this roof spoiler will have the same effect in a way subtracting the usefulness of the rear spoiler in a way.
UPDATE: It finally came in today and it looks pretty good. I am going to do a fitment test as soon as I get my car back from the dealership and see if everything lines up good. There is however a lip that goes up but I can't tell if that will go away with the angle that it is put on the window so we will see.
Well i will have to agree KillaKam it does look good installed :-) Gives the crowd one more reason to turn around and look at your car.
How hard was it to install?
Exactly, can't wait for the 10' Car Show Season
It wasn't hard at all I had my grandfather help me out but if I were to do it by myself it most likely would have been difficult as you have to somewhat bend it into shape which is ok cause it is flexible and fits perfectly.
