If i was you i would have gone for a 2010 with 2 grand more on top of your purchase price. Attractive incentive that you got was a 0% 5year APR. Congrats on your purchase.

I'm new here tried posting but message said I wasn't allowed, so I'll try here, I'm in the process of trading my passat for a new maxima. I'm leaning towards leasing but this would be my first lease, been doing a lot of reading anyhow, my question is what would be a good lease price. I'm open to s or sv model, but I will need 15000 mi. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Again I would have posted on main page to introduce myself if I could have. Thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome aboard Rodolan. I can answer you "tried posting" comment. To cut down on spammers and other unwanted stuff, one cannot make a new post until they get around 15 posts under their belt, hence why we have THIS thread.

As far as leasing, I don't have any clue. I've never leased in my life to I may consider it next time. Hopefully one of the other members can help you out.

That does sound a little high. What kind of price are they giving you on the car?

Try a different dealer. This time negotiate the price of the vehicle before any discussion of trades, buying versus leasing, etc. I am currently negotiating for a fully loaded 2010SV Premium plus Tech. I have found that the invoice is roughly $35,100. If you are going to lease you will be financing roughly 43% of whatever price you agree upon (as the residual value of the Max is 57%). There might be a few other variables involved but you do the math. MarkNYC might be able to shed a bit more light on this as well. But regardless, just ask the dealer "what is the best price you can offer?" and go from there.

2010 Maxima -SV Premium Package/+ extras

Yesterday I purchased a Dark Slate Prem pkg w/spoiler, tinted windows, upgraded mats, pin strips, clear coat and inside protection for 7 years for 33,638. However, when I got close to my house, a drunk drive ran into the back of my new baby :

I was able to lease a fully loaded 2010 SV Prem/Prem Tech (MSRP - $39330) for just $440 month (including 9% PA tax) for 39 months/12k miles with only inceptions (around $1100) due at signing! I was going back and forth with a few dealers on 2009's and was getting payments around the $450/month range. I took a shot on a 2010 and was able to get a better deal WITH the color combo I wanted! I took advantage of the 'tent' money that was good til the 18th combined with the other cash ($1250 total) and was able to get an adjusted cap cost of around $1600 BELOW Invoice! I think I did pretty good - thoughts?

Question New Owner - 09 maxima

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Maxima Dark Slate, base package.

They said it had hail damage, but it was fully repaired..

I looked over the car, and the entire car was fixed. After 5 minutes of looking I could not find one ding, I was analyzing the car with a microscopic analyzation....no concave cones from hail "plinks".

That being said, I got an 2009 Maxima base for 26,500, 0% 60 months.

Got 6.5k for a trade in, so I'm financing 20,000 over 5 years at 0%

Watcha all think?

It all depends if you can afford it.......dont go into the deal, if you have any thought of possibility that you will have "buyers remorse". Don't make an impulse decision.

If you CAN afford it, and won't question it, do not do anything other then 0% financing, you can get that on 09's.

I am doing 0% 60 months for an 09 maxima.

About 1 month ago I paid $35,100 CAD in cash for an '09 (SV/Sport+Tech) demo with approximately 12,000 km. This also included 4 Toyo winter tires with alloy rims.

In the northeast region, you can to pay somewhere around 12% off the MSRP price. I just bought my 2009 SV+Premium, MSRP 37800, for $32000. I also got a 80 Month, 120k bumper to bumper warranty with maintenance, seal, and gasket coverage for 1450. Thats only about $50 above cost from what I understand. Check out autobragblog.com, they are a huge help when it comes to purchasing! I love mine! In the 8 cars I've owned over the past decade, this one is by far the nicest! I like it even better than my 2009 MB C350.

Was this a brand new model? if not, how many miles? I'm looking to get into a preowned '09 soon and wanted to know what pricing I should expect on these.

There's still some 'new' '09's out there to be had - you can probably get just as good a deal on a new one than a pre-owned. Use the Nissan site for inventory of '09s that are still available ...

And remember to check the manufacture date and get an invoice on the strut replacement if necessary.

So I scooped up a 2010 SV Sport + Monitor pkg in SLate - and I am loving the paddle shifters !

love this color choice on this car, but was torn between this and my all-time fav - silver - if it were a pair of sneakers I would have just bought both, it was that hard! Guess its a "NO LOSE" situation when you "settle" on 1 but you liked both equally)

anyway, please let me know if I did good, bad, or avaerage on this deal compared to what REAL deals have been made (meaning the car is in your oir someone you personally know's driveway - not a verbal or paper deal please!)

Sticker $36,980
Paid $33,840 (invoice + $100 from what I researched)

has the sport pkg, 7" monitor/display + 2GB flash storage (without the tech pkg or nav), mudguards, mats, etc

also might grab for wifey the 2010 Altima SR 3.5 w sport, tech, and premium pkg for $29k and change (also $100 over invoice, plus free 3 year maintenance/oil changes) -

BUT i see thye dealer tried to hide a paint chip and couple of scratches behind a dealership sticker!! Now i may drop all deals with them just for the pprinciple. i thought the deal was decent enough that if they discolsed this, I may have been happy anyway (instead of paying $400 - $500 more for a "perfect" car - not like I wont scratch or chip it in a day or 2 anayway driving and parking in midtoen Manhattan daily lol

WHAT WOULD U DO !?!?

A good deal is a below invoice deal. A 2010 should be had for no less than $500.00 below dealer invoice.

Gonna disagree here. Of course less than invoice is a great deal. But to say that you're getting ripped off unless you get $500 below invoice is a bit much imho.

Personally, I'd actually go as far as to say for a '10, you should be able to find some dealership willing to go around $200-400 above invoice which, again imo, is a good deal.

I think where I'm at its about $250 over invoice but I can get the .9% rate over 60 months. They say you can't have the current $1250 rebate and the financing. You have to take on or the other. So I could go with my own financing and get it at about $1000 under invoice but it looks like the .9% would be a better deal for me now. Turns out if I put down 13k or close to that, my payments will be at the $400 a month payment I was shooting for. $17.05 per 1k financed I think it was.

I paid $615.00 below dealer invoice for a 2010. No negotiation. I just told them what I was willing to pay and they said yes. I never said anything about being ripped off. I know people have done better than me, so I feel like I got a good deal.

I've checked them out at the local dealership and been looking online. I want the premium package and spoiler. I would like Nav, but since Metra is making a double din kit, I figured I'd through my AVIC in there, instead of paying for the Tech package.

So, what kinds of prices have you all been getting so far at the dealerships? There are a few dealers around here that are selling the S and SV with no packages BELOW invoice. I would jump on it, but if I'm buying new, I want to have what I want to have.

Anyway, I don't mind driving to get a good deal on a new car. Where are the cheapest new maxima's being sold around the country? What package do you have and how much did you pay? What option would you add/delete?

....
BTW, I'm presently in NorCal, but from the east coast. So, I will drive just about anywhere in between to get an excellent deal.

i just bought a brand new 2010 maxima s.v sport plus tech package from gunn nissan for 33,198 that was the best price i could find . I think i did really god the msrp is over 38000..

Well pulled the trigger

Just couldn't pass up this deal. I asked about about a 2010 sport plus tech and the best price I had was 34k . Well today another dealer threw a 33,500 at me and it was for the premium plus tech. Loaded. With spoiler also. He showed me invoice of 36000. I also got the .9 over 60. Put 8k down and payments are $463 mth. msrp of almost 40k. Pretty happy. Ended up with the Slate with Latte interior. Dig the sunroof!

IMHO Leasing is not the best option unless you don't know what to do with your money . Saving money for the rainy days and avoiding debts is the way to go. Again, thats just my opinion.

Very good deal. Nice job. That sounds like a really nice color combo.

Mayaram this has nothing to do with throwing any money away. I can afford to put my wife in a new nice car every 3 years then having to worry about her not having the car start in a dark parking lot or having a used car leave her stranded on the highway with both my little girls in the back seat. Me forget it I'll drive a clunker anyday.
I signed the papers and will be dropping off the Pathy and picking up the Maxima tonight! Need to get rid of my Hella D2S and get some H11's!
