Accessories

What I've found so far:

Nissan nose mask (bra) 999N1-A3509
Mud guards are Part #999J2-MVKH3 (super black)
K&N drop in filter-same as 07/08.

http://mynissanparts.com/c-177-2009-nissan-maxima.aspx

One of the few places I found with any accessories in stock.

Courtesy Online is still "building" their 2009 page.

Eibach has a part number for the Pro-Kit but it's not out yet (they estimated November when I called a few weeks ago):

http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...65849700017591

And if you're looking for aftermarket wheels, stockers are 18x8 or 19x8, 5x114.3 lug pattern and +50mm offset.

Well, it's a start. Hopefully as more folks get the 09, this thread can fill up with goodies and give us a selection of items to choose from.

Being a practical sort, I always install drip guards over all door windows on every Maxima I own. They are made by a company just northeast of Atlanta, so I can keep in touch with them and know when the guards for the new generation are available. Those guards enable me to open all four windows around three inches each when leaving the car in the blistering sun on a hot day and not have a sudden storm ruin everything inside.

I have also installed black rubber molding 1" wide and 1/2" thick around the edge of all four wheel wells on every vehicle I have owned for many decades. That greatly reduces the chance of dings on the fenders. I probably won't add these to the sides of the car (along the midsection of the doors), because that would break up the lines. I suppose most here realize the '09 Maxima is the very first Maxima ever made without the usual side molding. That strip had gotten so flat in recent generations it no longer served any protective purpose.

I will be installing small flat pieces of black rubber inside the bottom edge of the splash guards on my '09 Maxima, reaching down an additional inch, because the OEM splash guards don't reach more than an inch or so further down than the bottom of the fender.

But then most folks here are more interested in after-market headers than in protective measures . . .

Not I, light. LOL, I even put the plastic trim on the door edges since that's where I usually get the dings.

I'm NOT a mechanic by nature (but I'm learning) so perf. mods and I don't get along. So when you do yours, take photos.

BTW, are those VentVisors? Most folks hate them, me, I prefer them. Rains alot here.

I have a quick question any help is appreciated, I picked up my maxima today, it has the ipod connecter and the composite(red, white, yellow) replacing the aux jack. Now I have a zune and can hook it up via composite but cant control it from the dash, is their any aftermarket replacement for the ipod cable to covert it to work with a zune or am i stuck physically changing music via the zune?

I think these things are usually referred to as 'rain guards', and the brand I have been using is 'Ventshade', made in Lawrenceville GA. I know there are other manufacturers of these things, and 'VentVisor' is probably one of them.

Some folks claim they serve no real purpose, as the AC can bring the temp down from however hot it may be inside the car. That may be fine for those who park the car and work all day - means this will only have to be done one time each day. But I am retired, and usually make half a dozen stops on my daily errand/food run. Before I can get the temp down, I have already stopped again. I won't do without my rain guards.

Smurf all i've found is a cable from a company called soundgate, however it only works on 08's and older, plugs into back of factory head unit. I think us zune supporters may be out of luck as it might be a 1st party proprietary (sp?) issue with nissan/apple. I have the 1st gen 30gb zune with about 2/3rds full. I was considering an sd card as an option however a 20-30gb card is $$$.

LOL, Ventvisor is the actual product name from Ventshade (Lund Intl). So I guess we are referring to the exact same item.

If you hear from them, let me know. I want a set. I'm going to email them, maybe "encourage" them with another customer.

Anything I find out, I will post here. I had one of these shades come loose a few years back, called Ventshade and told them what happened, and they sent me a whole roll of two-sided all-weather tape that same day, which fixed the problem permanently.

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but the first thing im doing is getting 8000K HID's for the Heads and Fogs so they match. I gottem in my 08 Silverado and they are awesome. Bright with a hint of blue.

Does anybody have experience ordering from this mynissanparts.com website? I was looking at the all weather rubber floor mats, looks like they only come in dark grey but it doesn't specify if the set is a set of 2 for just the front or a set of 4 for front and back. Too bad their not in cafe latte like my interior but i can live with that. Also how is their service?

Fog Light Upgrade

Does anyone have any idea, how in the world do we upgrade the fog lights? Currently the 09 has H11's on it but everywhere I go AA, PB and AZ they say that the H11's are a newer light and no upgrades are available at this time.. Any clue.... the fogs just don't go with the HID's....

There is a vendor on here that sells the fog HID's. He quoted me at about 300 to change my Heads and Fogs to 8000K HID's.

$2000.00, yikes! a bit to much cash for just the front set. I think just adding cross drilled and/or slotted with S/S brake lines would be enough for the Max unless your planning on entering it into a racing league.

I went to a factory authorized installer and had him put them on. The cost is $550-$900, depending on the vendors. It is almost invisible and is guaranteed for 5 years. I paid $600 for mine which also included the head lamps and fog lights protector film. Go to this address to find an authorized installer in your area.
