Seeing as the car isn't going to be publicly released until Summer, the most you'll get before then is a "teaser" brochure.

Yeah I got the same thing at the same place. There is no new info in it though. I wish they would at least release pricing and packages available.

Still haven't gotten my brochure. Request was submitted several weeks back. As for the reviews, well....I'd anticipate those cropping up in June.

Haven't gotten my brochure either. Wish they would send it out so I can get more info on the available options.

Would also like to see some of the car rags do a road test or comparison already.

There has been tons of info posted on the web regarding the '09 Maxima and options, but NO DETAIL IS CERTAIN until we see the OFFICIAL brochure (not yet available, but probably has been printed) listing (in FULL DETAIL) EXACTLY what options are available with what package combos. There are always some combos that are not available. There are also little nitpicking things such as certain interior colors are not available with certain exterior colors, etc, etc. The official brochure lays out all the details.

There is another possible fly in the ointment:

While touring the Nissan plant in Smyrna last week, I saw three regatta blue '09 Maximas sitting just off the end of the assembly line. I assumed they had just been produced. But, thinking back very carefully, the Maximas I actually saw moving on the assembly line appeared to be '08s. That is not at all what I would expect if the Maxima were actually going to be reaching dealers in early June.

By comparison, the assembly lines had stopped producing '03s and were producing '04 Maximas by mid-January of 2003 in prep for a March 2003 arrival of the '04 at dealers.

I could be way off base, and it may be that Nissan picked those two hours of the day I was there to fill special requests for the '08 Maxima. But it is also possible that a glitch has cropped up, and Nissan is holding off mass-producing '09 Maximas until they are sure it is fixed. If that is the case, we may see a late June or early July arrival of the '09 at dealers.

In around two weeks, the June issue of most car mags should be reaching subscribers, and some will probably have road tests of the '09 Maxima. The mags that don't have the '09 Maxima tests in the June issue should certainly have them in the July issue.

This is an exciting time for Maxima lovers.

I have received the same brochure and trust me you can find more information on a post it note. If you are looking for the brochure with detail information, specs, options, colors, and pricing then you and us need to wait a bit longer. As stated above things are probably being finalized as to which options can and can't be combined, pricing, and even color choices. But with the news of the car hitting dealerships in June, then I would guess they have figured out most of those questions and you will start to see the new brochures within the next 2-3 weeks. They should be smart enough to beging mailing about 1 or 2 weeks before they hit the dealerships so that people can start calling dealers and making appointments for test drives. i can't wait to see this car and test drive it.

NismoMax80 - What you received was the abbreviated brochure they have been giving out at the auto shows and the same thing I was given at the assembly plant. I now have four of them, and they tell me nothing about exact details and specifics.

Nissan usually releases these abbreviated brochures ahead of each new generation, and I have copies of the ones they gave out before the release of each of the last three generations.

The purpose of offering to mail this abbreviated brochure to us is twofold: it tends to build enthusiasm for the vehicle, and enables Nissan to accumulate a mailing list of people who might be interested in this vehicle for their marketing purposes. I ordered a brochure for several (non-Nissan) vehicles at the Atlanta Car Show last month, and have gotten the usual glossy abbreviated brochure, as well as additional info, for each vehicle.

The real brochure may be at the printers at this time, for all we know. I would not expect to see it until around the time the car will begin arriving at dealers. That could be another four to six weeks. Until we see the REAL brochure, we won't be able to know the full details of exactly what options/combinations are available.

The brochure is in the final draft phase. It goes to the printer on June 10. The target date for print completion is June 19. Distribution will begin June 23.

I stopped at a Nissan dealership an hour ago to see if they had a brochure for the 09 Maxima, but they didn't. I was checking out an 08 Maxima and the sticker price was $36k. It did have leather seats and all the extras, but I thought that was expensive. I was talking to a sales guy there and he new pretty much nothing about the 09 Maxima, but he expected a loaded 09 Maxima to sell for between $40 - $45k. If that's the case there is no way I will buy a Maxima. I'll go look at an Infiniti G or the Hyundai Genesis if the new Maxima will be that expensive.

There is no way a loaded 09 Maxima will be over $36,000. As usual, sales people are clueless.

A loaded 09 Maxima for $40-45,000???? There is no way a loaded 09 Maxima will have a MSRP above 36k. As usual salespeople like to hear themselves talk, and usually dead wrong.

Sometimes we think the sales people are dumb. Trust me they know the new 09 maxima is around the corner. The 36K price on the 08 is just a gimick so you feel good when they lower the price to around 32-33K. We have already received pretty solid info that the 09 will top around 37-38K and a base model will probably go for 31K. There is no demand issues that I am aware of on the 09 to leed me to think dealers will be jacking prices. The sales guy was just trying to get you to go for the 08 and they can get it out of their inventory. If you really dont care about the new model just wait a couple of months and you will be able to get excellent deals on new 08's.

Those of us on the Tenessee trip got the distinct impression from those who set prices at Nissan that the base msrp price will be around $28K and loaded around $36K. These aren't guesses, conjectures, or numbers pulled out of you know what.

rkurlander - Thanks for the brochure date info. That sort of fits in with the way Nissan usually does these things, although they are cutting it a tad close this time. That is understandable, as they are changing the designation system on the Maxima, option packages are clearly different than the 6th gen, and could become confusing if not handled carefully in the brochure. A lot of very important decisions must be finalized before the official brochure goes to the printer.

Also, both you and vladi77 are correct about the way sales people work these things. I expect the base '09 Maxima to barely make it under $30K MSRP, with a fully loaded one around $38 MSRP. Of course the usual dealer 'packs' will result in the bottom number on the window sticker ranging from around $33K to around $40K, but, other than billionaire Arab oil shieks, nobody is going to pay that.

By Thanksgiving, I would expect to be able to buy a base Maxima for around $27K, or a loaded one for around $35K. Astute bargainers might beat that. A very nicely equipped '09 should have an MSRP around $35K, and after the initial intro hoopla has died, might be bargained down to between $32 and $33K. That is a good price on a very good car.

Where I live, I would never be able to buy a G35 as cheaply as a similarly-equipped Maxima.

gtr rider - If you have the real brochure, it will give the diameter in millimeters of the front and rear stabilizer bars. Please post them here so I can compare them with those on the 6th gen (front - 22,2MM, rear 26.5mm).

While you have the brochure open to the specs, please post the exact size of the front and rear discs so we can also compare those to the 6th gen (front 12.60" X 1.10", rear 11.50 X 0.35").

I am very interested in seeing what Nissan has done 'underneath' on this modified suspension.

I am a little surprised the official brochure is out. I was expecting the pre-release abbreviated 'hoopla' phamphlet to be the only documentation released until time for the '09 Maxima to be shipped to dealers.

As a Maxima devotee, this is an exciting time for me!
