Evap Emission Control code P0455
Hey guys, I have a 2010 SV with just over 200k miles on it. I've done most of the maintenance on it myself if the YouTube video I find for the job inspires me to try it.
I have the dreaded P0455 code, I cleared it, and several months later it came back on. I changed the gas cap, and it came back on a week later. This time I re-read the codes and found that it says that it's a gross leak.
I checked all the lines and found none that were broken or rotted. I found a Maxima specific YouTube video for the job, and this isn't one I want to tackle due to the location of the canister and the part(s) that have to be replaced.
I know I can just continue to clear the codes and drive the car forever AS IS, but I may be gifting this car to one of my nieces for college next year, and I'd feel better knowing that it was operating at 100%.
My question: has anyone here had this job done by the dealer recently, and if so, what can I expect to pay?

Actually, from all the jobs to perform on our Max s, this is one of the easiest to do! It took me longer to jack up the car than swap out the purge valve (well not quite, but not too long.) It was one thing I could do after my back surgery as I was prone while doing it
sorry, not the answer to your question, but given the accessibility of the purge valve (and the probability that this is the culprit) I would not imagine it would be more than $500 st the dealer.
