Removing Engine Cover

I must be missing something totally obvious but I am having trouble removing the engine cover. I read the owner’s manual that states to “pull cover up first and then toward the front of the car”. I removed the two bolts at the top using an allen wrench and tried pulling up and forward but it looks like there are two bolts on the bottom that are holding it in. Is there a way of removing the cover without removing those two bottom bolts? If I do have to remove the bolts how do I access them?

Thanks

You should just be able to pull straight up. Just a post through the rubber grommet. It'll pop out.

I've never seen this before, maybe mine is broken on those bottom latches from previous owner but I don't notice it. Like Serpent said, just pull it up and it should just pop out.

Removing Engine Cover

Thanks All

I'll give this a try again. I was pull up but was worried about breaking the cover, I'll try pulling harder.

Pull straight up on the corners and you'll get it.

does anyone know if you can get a large regular screwdriver & "pry" up on the 2 posts where the rubber grommets are?? ( area in 3rd picture) I know my armada is the same way & it fooled me the 1st time I removed the cover...

I'm sure you can, just make sure you adjust the screw driver carefully as not to break/crack the plastic.
