Attention black trim people and paint professionals
I got so sick of seeing all the chrome trim on my car so I spray painted all of it black. I was pretty sure that the paint wouldnt stick to the trim and after a week I'm beong proved right.
My question, what is the best way to go about getting the trim blacked out? I got a few quotes from professionals and they were between $400-$1000. Is this roughly how much u guys spent too?

I used 3m 1080 vinyl....looks like paint and is easily removable. Just take your time and do it right so the edges are perfect. I used the same stuff on my roof, rear window spoiler, side mirrors, front grille trim, and center of front bumper/lower valance. Like I said, take your time. The 3m stuff is real easy to work with
You could also go the plasitip route, but that is a matte finish which I did not want.
