He can only stream music over BT, he cannot surf the Internet or use pandora t etc. You would need to tether over wifi instead.
I installed a full size ipad behind my shifter using a wall mount from ijoy...something or other. After some research for the ipad I have this was my best route.

I did end up drilling into my shroud after realizing the double sided 3M automotive tape wasn't strong enough. I was worries about drilling and it wasn't bad at all. Honestly I prefer to have a small bracket to slide the iPad into over an arm extending out like Proclip or Padholdr provides.
I have a pic up in my profile under photos. I can take some more later today and post them tonite.
Here's the link to what I purchased - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00769...sr=8-5&pi=SL75
I painted it black to match better, seems to only come in white.

All right... Who can provide the brand of the case... And do we have any suggestions on drilling the dash... Maybe some other alternatives....
This is a great idea...
Some cons that are not a big deal:
No charging (not a big deal)
My pioneer unit has difficulties pairing. It will only pair to phone or to the tablet.
I can set one for phone and a second device for media, but it has to be done manually.
Tethering is difficult, would have to go with the 4g. Has anyone been able to mirror their phone to the tablet?

The strongest adhesive found was the 3M automotive and promoter. The heat in the car loosened that up so to secure it better drilling was the best option. All you see on my dash now is a small mount the size of a large matchbook. All the mounts researched required some sort of drilling of some kind.
Using BT for iOS devices is very limited due to protocol restrictions, you can easily JB ur device to bypass that. I go back and forth between 2 Wifi connections. At the end of the day you also still need to plug into the AUX port and hiding that wire behind the iPad IMO makes it a more flush and cleaner look.
