Racing Stripes On Maxima !! Suggestions
#2
Remember, the Maxima is a flagship sedan, aimed at a sporty luxury segment of the market.
With that statement said, I am going to say "don't do it", and find some other ways to customize your vehicle to make it unique to you.
Of course, this all goes with the standard disclaimer that this post was my opinion, and whatever you do to your vehicle is completely your right with in the laws of the location in which you live, thus should you choose to ignore or accept my opinion is completely your choice.

I've always wanted a car with racing stripes on it, double in the center, or one thick, one thin offset on the drivers side, etc. Maybe somewhere in my mind, my childish mind, stripes meant fast car. Cool car. GT40. Hehe.
But I don't know about this car. This Maxima. This A35. In my head, stripes don't seem to fit right... I tried adding a hash stripe on the fender in MS Paint, and that looked OK, but it's not the same. You need to see it from different angles. Man, I wish I had Photoshop skills.
I just thought of an idea that I'm going to try: Take some Painter's tape/masking tape and see how it looks to you. Hell, maybe take some plastidip and see what that'll do for you.
I was thinking Nismo stripes might look coolest. Hell, we all want a Nismo Maxima, right? Like this:

X3........this is a big sedan, and is one of the last cars in my opinion, that would look good in racing stripes....Racing stripes imply your car is fast.this car isnt.dont try to make this car something its not, and can never be .
But hey, this is just my opinion.this is your car and u can do what ever makes u happy.i just dont like racing stripes on anything as its been pretty played out now for quite some time. But if u must do it, do it right..no autozone racing stripe sticker, get it painted on by a pro.
Sorry if i come across as an a## about it..just trying to save you from in my opinion, a big mistake...there are so many other modds that will greatly improve the look of your car over stripes.a couple examples would be a stillen lip, a drop, rims, maybe tints.hell, even a roof spoiler.

If you do it ... I wanna see pics!
In terms of keepin it classy, the only thing I could come up was pin stripes down the sides. But even this takes away from the sportiness.
Ps. On a pearl white Max I'd wanna see black stripes, especially if you got the black Pano roof.

I sort of like it as well. But yes, to each his own.
Stripes, rice? I don't know about that. I've never seen a "ricey" car with racing stripes. Just neon lights, huge wings, crazy graphics, stickers, Fart can exhaust, unpainted panels, ridiculous body kits, and roof racks.
If it looks clean, it's not rice. Tacky maybe, but to each his own.
Anyway, stripes were started to make cars more easily identifiable on the track. It eventually poured into the every day consumer scene. Some cars it looks great. Others it doesn't. That's just how it seems. I agree the stripes on that white one could be better if it was maybe thicker.

mmmmm Rice Pudding! I kinda like it as well. Looks pretty hot. Then again they call me rice pudding in my area because I am a big fan of the riceyness!
It almost has a weird Viper look to it in the front. I wouldn't rock it on my Maxima, but I was recently looking to do the sides...but no one will buy the car like that when it goes back..so fail =/.

Maybe some pin stripes down the side wouldnt look too bad...for example like my car...its not my style as i like the clean look. Im going to remove these sometime this spring. i bought the car with them on.

I say do it. It's a sports car it's not like ur putting stripes on a LaCrosse. I think most of the oposition here has to do with the anti-riceness. It won't be ricey if you do it right. Just don't put no bis as5 spoiler on there. That might get you banned .

Dubai autos are mostly custom
I had a talk with the guy and when i was down there in dubai, cars there are usually custom. the reason- mad cheap labor. mechanics can basically take your current stuff and customize the **** outta them. i have seen it being done- so basically they cut out a hole and the DRL's are custom such that they cover the cut part easily.
and tbh, the stripes are too thick and dont look good on the car. again, thats my opinion, maybe a thinner stripe would look better. Photoshop is the best way to see if it looks good or not...imo
