Talking Maxima Modded Vs. Maxima Stock

What's Up Guys & Girls! Figured I get a interesting topic going to start our Mid-Week. That, and because I am already up at 6A.M.

Is Your Maxima Quicker or Slower With Performance Modifications?

If Quicker With Mods, Which Ones are Worth Getting?

If Slower With Mods, Which Mods are Not Worth Getting & Explain!

I figured this would be a fun topic to bring up, and it would also help all the newer members decide which Performance Mods to Get!

I drove a friends who has an exhaust and intake and it didn't feel any different than mine stock.

Even messed around 1 day from a stop light to an open 2 lane road and we were side by side to about 80 before we both backed off.

remember mods arent the only thing that affect the car. Oil, filter and even transmission care are factors here. I lost tons of power in my older max because of transmissions problems. I didnt keep up with the transmission maintenance.

Just got a 12 Maxima and I too would be interested in hearing what mods work esp ones that don't void the warranty.

I Agree with 2Elite. But we are mainly focusing on Mods on this topic!

I feel that My Maxima is quicker with the Racingline Y-Pipe & CXJ Block Off Plates & Spacers. However, I didn't get to test high speeds yet...track time soon.

My Max is definitely quicker; I've done a lot though and will be tuning soon. Mileage is lower overall too cause I'm burning rich as hell. Everyone I know who got Uprev with a bunch of bolt ons said it was by far the most noticeable mod; I can't wait!

How are the inspections in Maryland?

Word on the street is an UPRev tune in Mass will net you a big fat 'R' on your windshield. Haven't read why this is, yet.

But I'm betting you will notice a HUGE difference with a tune.

I am with Ghozt On the UpRev tune..I heard great things, some negative..but mostly positive! I am shooting for Spring with the UpRev. I am still 50/50 on the Pulley by Stillen..and GReddy is still producing their exhaust system..
