new max and cold weather

Hi all. New to the site first off, so please correct me if this is the wrong section to post this or whatever. anyways... bought a new max a month ago, and was wondering if anyone knows what cold weather precautions should be taken?

Now the dealer said and showed me the spec sheet where coolant is rated to -37 (it gets colder here).. and obviously i have the bloc heater, it is just a question for any additional things i should do... get a battery blanket? add a little more coolant to increase cold weather rating? any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I figured i might as well post a pic of the car... check the license plate and you'll see why im a little paranoid about cold weather.

For starters I would ask the dealer why he sold you a car with the coolant not rated for the local ambient conditions and ask him to increase the ration of anti-freeze to water. Secondly your dealer is better equippped to answer your question than people on this forum because he has enough local experience to give you good advise unless you are the first sale that he ever made.

Canadian models also have day time driving lights which we do not have in the USA. Day time driving lights are required by law in most European countries and Canada and have proven to save life. They are however provided as standard in my Buick and Honda cars. Nissan and the NTSA needs to get their act together.

They actually have Nissan dealers in the Yukon Territories??? I thought all they drove up there were Chevy & Ford pick-ups & suv's to plow through the snow!
