light makes a good point, even with better gas mileage, the ones who really make out is the dealer and finance department, so you are crazy.

I had a friend who traded in a paid off Tahoe who could walk to work, for a hybrid camry when the gas prices went up last time, then she complained about the 700 dollar a month car payment, it was not the best time to buy a hybrid camry but she did, but her gas bill dropped in half
