Nah not hard at all. Once you get the grill out there is some clips just like the grill holding the emblem in. Honestly the hardest part of the whole mod was getting to those hidden clips behind the crossmember

It does take a while to get those last 2 clips. I used a right angle pick to get underneath and lift up the tabs so they would come out. I guess a short screwdriver might work as well. You just have to keep working it and they will pop out.

I am one who taped everything off to paint the grille, can anyone provide pictures on how to take this grille out? I am planning on doing this plasti dip, is there a specific kind to buy? I am also wanting to paint the chrome piece above the license plate, is there a way to remove that as well?

Thanks

It is real easy to remove the grille. Here are the steps
1.) Pop your hood, and you will see the plastic guard in the front that is held in by a few of those little screws, take them all out and remove the guard.
2.) There will be another plastic piece shaped kinda like a pan, remove that too.
3.) The grille is held in by six clips at the top and six at the bottom. Each bottom clip has a corresponding top clip, remove bottom then top, do that for all of them, and make sure to hold the grille so the clips dont go back in.
4.) Pull the grille out from the front CAREFULLY. And Ur done!

Just go to home depot's paint section, and ask them for black spray can plasti dip, there is a kind that comes in a bucket, you dont want that, you want a spray can. As for the chrome piece above the license plate, I think there is a way to remove it, but Im not sure bc Im not painting it.

Good luck and let me know if u need anything else.

Yea, it needs to be warm out. I would wait a little bit. You can make it all black, but I kept some chrome just to contrats with the rest of the chrome around the car. It should still look sick though.

I think no chrome border would be sick, but for some reason I like having that litte chrome there to contrast with the rest of the car.

I dunno, start peeling off the plasti dip one edge at a time and see what looks good. As in peel the bottom first, then top, then left and right. Also, did u have your wheels painted or is that plasti dip as well?

There are some things I want to do to my car with plasti dip but I have read not to use tape for Lines because of how it sticks to tape and won't peel off perfectly.... What can you use to create hard lines then? What if I over spray just a little...what can I use to wip[e it off?
