I did mine a few weeks ago as well but with Charcoal and Glossifier. It's amazing what just a color change on wheels will do. Very happy with the way it turned out

Looks great! I might have to try this on all my chrome trim that I hate. This would go well with my limited edition wheels and grille.

Plastic dip thread again

I finally got the emblems and the grill taken care of. It looks good to me, took my time on every part. What you guys think about the plastic dip I did ? Any suggestions would be great ! I'll be doing the window trim tomorrow, but just can't figure how to do the door handles. Maybe someone can give me some tips on how to do them. Here's some pictures for you guys to see !

The new metal flake Anthracite (with glossifier) looks to be my first choice for the Plasti-Dip experience. Since I have a Crimson Black car it should look quite good though I did entertain the thought of the new "Vintage Gold" for just the rims and blacking out everything else.

I hate the chrome trim on my car. I have the limited edition with the dark wheels and grille. Do any of you guys know which would match the limited edition wheels better, the charcoal or the Anthracite? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Wheels are supposed to stand out, shine, look classy. Not to be coated in a matte rubber finish.

To each their own Hectic. Some people like the matte look, even on their body panels.

Personally, I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the matte black wheels. I think the newer metallic plasti dip colors would look much better.

I am personally curious about the anthracite and how well it would match the limited edition wheels and grille.

Plasti Dip also offers a "glossifier" to add some shine to the flat colors. Something I may consider if I decide to play around with the stuff.

You're right, the metallics would look better. I like plasti dip, but not so much the things people are using it for. Whole cars, wheels, emblems, I can see coating an entire car if the stock paint looks bad, mismatched, or experimenting with schemes, but not to create a "custom" look. No different than a primed car farting down the road IMO.

Plasti Dip definitely has its practical uses though.

My car is metallic slate, and soon I'll be dipping my stock wheels. I just received my shipment of the anthracite color, and I have a few cans of the glossifier too. I've never been a fan of the matte black look inside of tires that look faded and dirty and an even lighter shade than the plastidip. That look is ugly even with black painted/powdercoated wheels. I think the tires should always look darker than the wheel.

Really hoping that the anthracite turns out how I'm imagining it will. If I load it up with glossifier and keep the wheels black and wet looking, should be pretty sweet against the metallic slate color of my car.

It's plastidip. I used tape to line it up. This was a fun project! I enjoyed it. Now time to install cold air intake

My mistake, my mistake lol. And the grill I got from amazon, $66 shipped upper & lower inserts. Then popped on the nismo logo after dipping it.

There was a point in time where I went plasti crazy on my car, ended up covering 85% of the car with black dip
