Bluetooth Audio

Bluetooth Audio
I was wondering if anyone else has found a fix/cheat for enabling their Maxima to display song titles with a Motorola Droid (Milestone) through bluetooth streaming? I know BlackBerry's are able to however I have not seen it myself with a different handset.
Thanks!
Thanks!

After doing some research I found out that metadata is not currently supported in the Android bluetooth stack. This is being worked on but there is no telling when we'll see it on a manufacturer supported Android build. It may pop up in a cooked ROM if you are bold enough to go that route.

You're obviously a techie. I haven't loaded up a cooked ROM on my Captivate because of the headache involved in customizing everything to my liking all over again. Call me lazy. Getting BT audio on your 2009 would be a bit of a challenge.

Actually,
I have a question. I've got a 2006 Maxima and am having trouble pairing my Droid X with my bluetooth. Can anyone offer suggestions? I have followed the Droid instructions but keep getting an activation failed.

When those quirks happen the best thing to do is to start from scratch. What I mean by this is start by erasing the phone completely from the car and vice versa. I had the same issue with my previous phone (Nokia) with this Maxima and that fixed it. However with my Droid Milestone it connected 1st time and every time!

Jim, you might want to check in the 6th generation subforum and not the 7th. May be some differences.

Fix for Stuttering Bluetooth Audio for Android
Sorry if this is old news, but I couldn't find a post that covered this, and thought I would share something that worked for me.
When I tried to pair my HTC One S with my 2010 Maxima, I found that it constantly stuttered. I did find a thread somewhere, that said that if you make a call first over bluetooth and then hang up and begin playing audio it worked fine. I confirmed that this 'work around' did work for me.
This week, I found a free app on the Google Play store that seems to fix everything - "A2DP Volume"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...a2dp.Vol&hl=en
I'm not affiliated with the app maker, but since it worked for me, and took away the annoyance of the stuttering bluetooth audio, I figured I would share with the Maxima community. Good Luck!
