Auto dimming not working

I noticed tonight that my auto dimming rear view mirror isn't dimming.

It was green light was on, but the lights from cars behind me never dimmed. Putting my finger over the light sensor didn't make any impact, and turning it off and on made no change.

Any one have a similar issue? Am I missing something? Not looking forward to a broken dimmer with the winter coming, and I just rolled over 36,000 miles.

There is a daytime sensor in the front of the mirror on the windshield side. With your car on in the morning, cover that sensor with your finger and watch the mirror to note any changes. It all is working properly you should notice it dim down.
