Along with the costs of a turbo you will probably have to beef up your transmission which would cost upwards of 2.5 g's so add that to the cost of custom manifold/piping along with the cost of turbo and tuning so you no longer have check engine lights, bigger injectors to cope with all the extra airflow to maintain the A/F ratio and see if its really worth it. Not trying to discourage you but alot of people think all you do is put a turbo in and that's it. Good Luck with your endeavor and I like the paint scheme of your car.

I used to race vinny when he did the supra thing way back when.that ****er would stand that supra on the back.bumper.til the 60' mark.

Regarding the turbo on the max i would personally do a multi stage nitrous setup.i seen vinnie ten do a stock 350z with a 2 stage.first stage was a 100 shot.second stage was a 280 shot.the car hauled *** down the track with just slicks and.pulled high 10's everytime.it final broke the rear after the second season of driving it like he stole it.

there is a complete kit that gives u 110 more hp everything included my friend added this kit his dad installed everything cause he has his own auto repair shop here in south jersey near phila pa of course this voids the warranty im looking to change the chip but do it without the dealer figuring it out cause i bought a 7yr 100,000 mile warranty instead of using my head to spend the money for the kit because at the time i knew nothing about it if anyone has chip info please email me
thanks

what is this "chip" you're speaking of? i've had about 6 turbocharged cars, sorry not to sound mean or anything but everytime i hear about a "chip" it just sounds like a typical ricer who knows nothing to me. you should post all the info here so everybody can know about it. what turbo is it? what tuning solution? what injectors, fuel pump? i don't know anything about 7th gens but is aem or megasquirt out for these cars yet? if aem is already available i'd recommand using it for tuning. my friend self tunes his turbo miata and i always go with him whenever he's tuning and this thing does a lot of magic for sure.

there is no way to get around warranty issues if you're adding a turbo and you'll probably need a standalone ems for tuning too. to add on top of voiding warranties, none of the standalone ems will pass obd2 inspection.

btw call up tach motor works in long island they might be able to custom fab manifolds and downpipes. they deal with a lot of turbocharged cars and they have their dyno and tuner too. just another option for you.

I'm curious to know why would someone need to build the tranny if we don't know how much power it can take. But i can understand why it would be a concern. unfortunately it is a learn as u go type thing.

Try Akuma Motorsports. They specialize in everything. Especially GTR's. My motto if they can modify a GTR, they can build a Maxima. They do custom work with every car and well priced. The owner John used to work for Cobb Tuning.
