Strut Bar Racingline vs Stillen

The strut tower bar and rear sway bar will definately tighten up the suspension/handling of the car. Improved response when driving gauranteed. May I ask why you do not want to lower your maxima?

I just came from a lowered car, eibach pro-kit, and the ride quality was not very good. It was fine for me but when others got in the car it got very harsh. The whole reason I got this car was to have a smooth ride, the roads here are not the best.

I will do the sway and strut bars then see how it feels. If I need more then I might have to look into some suspension. I just hate how I jam on the gas and the car seems to float side to side...
I also had a honda, 08 civic si sedan, that car was perfectly stable but these are two different classes.

your mods cant be adding too much hp. you dont have a turbo or nitrous do you? all bolt on stuff is available to my knowladge. the maxima has a lot of torque steer, thats why the car is difficult to maintain. I dont drive the **** out of my car so I do not have much to say on the subject. Tires are expensive and I want mine to last.

I took my Racingline FSTB off when I installed my intake spacers (it wouldn't fit anymore) and I haven't noticed any decrease in handling at all. Looking further in the engine bay it appears the strut towers are ALREADY bound together with metal. Feel up under where the windshield wipers are, there is a metal bar going across the engine bay and connecting to the other strut tower.
So real world tells me the strut bar adds nothing. Logically the engine bay tells me it already has a strut bar. Now I just wish I didn't cut my damn engine covers to fit it...

I actually believe the steering is tightened up a bit when in use. I too am adding the spacers and don't want to shim the mounts up any. It should still be fine, but like I said, until I am throwing the car around on a daily basis, I don't need it

Just received the following. Eibach Pro Kit, Racingline FSTB, Racingline RSB, Racingline Grounding Kit, Racingline Y-Pipe, Borla Exhaust, BullyDog GT Tuner, Goodrich SS Brake Lines, KYB Front Struts. I will start the Mods tonight, I will post when complete. I can't wait.

Yea, but it was worth every penny. The exhaust sounds awesome. Putting on the FSTB and the BullyDog tonight, and the Eibach's this weekend. My buddy took some video and pic's will be posting in a day or so.

Coilovers and Strut bars
I had the Raceline strut bar and really enjoyed the handling aspects. I have since installed BC Racing coilvers and the studs on the coilovers will not allow me to remount by Raceline strut bar. Has anyone else had this issue. I am really missing my strut bar. I have checked with BC and they apparently do not offer a longer 3rd stud for the coilover mount to help solve he problem.

I have Stillen everything on my Max, but when it came time to get the strut brace i got the Racingline strut brace, and battery tie down. I dont know if this matters or not but the racingline strut brace is thicker at the ends. I dont know if it provides more stability, but ATT says more is better...LOL.. I also powder coated it Crimson Black. I used fingernail polish on the bottom of my covers and mashed them against the strut brace mounts to mark them, then used a Drimmel cutting tool and sand paper to smooth the edges on my covers.

I've already emailed Racingline to see if the current strust bar they show online will fit my '13. To which I was advised it would (I figured as much). I emailed them back and inquired as to the possibility of a group buy, but have not heard back yet. If interested, PM me with your email address and if there is enough interest, I'll contact Racingline again to see if they are willing to do something.

I had nissan install my coilovers, and my strut brace was already on the car. The mechanic used a longer stud than the one that was shipped with the BC coilover kit. if you want i can ask the mechanic. i see him all the time. ^^^ I can take a pic of my cut outs on my covers. with the strut brace i just put figernail polish on the bottom of the covers and mashed them on the mounts, and with the coilover cutouts i just started with a small hole and progressively made it bigger...

I would do the same, cut a little at a time and fit. If it's not too much trouble, I was just curious to see a close up of the cutout around the strut brace. Thanks

Use a drimel tool with a cutting wheel on it for the plastic. even with these cut outs its cool to start with your cut out being to small instead of being to big...
