Maxima Badge Removal?

Is the Maxima badge on the trunk just a sticker? I like the smooth look and want to remove it, but just want to ensure that it doesn't have pegs like on my Mazda CX-7.

It should be just a glue on... just put some goof off or goo off and some dental floss and maybe a little bit of heat to loosen up the glue and it should come right off...

Thanks... I just wanted to confirm that it was just glue. I have removed many emblems, but the last vehicle (CX-7) had pegs and two guide holes in the trunk. I had to buy a new emblem to cover the holes.

Dental floss and goof off it is.

Yeah, they are individual stickers. I bought a heat gun at Walmart to take mine off, made it alot easier. It took about 10 minutes, mostly getting the adhesive off the trunk lid. Be patient and be very careful with the X. One of the legs on my X, chipped the paint during removal.
I put the Z from the 350Z trunk badge over the ding. I also put the round Z fender badges on the front fenders. I think it looks great.
I know, I know it isn't a Z, so why make it one, because that's what I wanted to do. I have a personalize plate coming with ZMAX. I was waiting till the tag arrived to post pics. I'll try to get it done this weekend.

I'd just love to get three Infiniti emblems and put them on the front grill, rear trunk lid, and steering wheel, which would replace all the Nissan's emblems; that would really screw with people's mind when they saw the car and they'd never know the difference because everyone keeps saying I drive an Infiniti!!!! should have kept the Infiniti badges off my FX35! LOL!!!!

IMO infiniti, z, gtr, and whatever badges arent maxima on a maxima = FTL

and in terms of debadging, a nice hot hair dryer and dental floss or fishing line works like a charm. but be patient, and get that badge nice and hot before peeling at it.

Towards the top of the page you can see how she looked pre-spoiler, and near the bottom of the page you can see how much better it looks post-spoiler install.

I just took the Maxima lettering off- looks great, nice and clean. Just heat them up and floss behind the letters and they pop right off.

My main motivation for debadging would be the way those durn letters grab fibers and strings from my MF towels and car duster.

Haha, very true I used to hate that - It's smooth as a baby's bottom now...

I just did this on my Jeep and will try it on my Maxima. Great idea with the string!
